I was surprised to see that they had English service; a rarity in a place that isn't a tourist attraction for foreigners in China.
It was clean and the location was very convenient. The view was fantastic , too. Close to the center and the spring park.
The issue was that the weather was cold, but the air-conditioning could only give cold air; I arrived late at night and I froze in my bed the first night. Thankfully, after I asked for a heater, they provided me with one.
The breakfast was strictly Chinese, which isn't an issue for me; other foreigners, however, might find it off-putting.
I'd go again without an issue.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this hotel! Zhangqiu is a quiet and less crowded part of Jinan. Our room had an amazing view of Mingshui ancient town, which was very crowded due to the 'Golden Week' vacation, but we still found parts of it that weren't full of people. The main entrance to Mingshui is about a 15-minute walk from this hotel, but you can see Vienna Hotel when you're within Mingshui due to its height. One of the exit-only areas is only 2 minutes from the hotel. We loved everything about the room: the decor, the bed, the shower, the orange-tinted wood furniture. Breakfast was great; however, it would have been nice to have tea or coffee there instead of having to go back to our room to make tea. We hope to stay here again one day!

The building where the hotel is located is in a good location, but the inside and outside are old and messy. One of the elevators is broken. The room is small and the bed is right at the door. All facilities are old. The receptionist at the front desk has a very good attitude, which is the only highlight of the hotel.
