The environment and facilities of Ocean Star are very good! And the price is really touching! Various package activities are very cost-effective! During this trip to Jilin, I chose Yideyuan Hotel, which is close to the station and convenient for travel. The service is very good! Before checking in, I received a call from the guest service manager Tian, who enthusiastically asked about the accommodation needs and arrival time, and also warmly reminded the hotel location and weather conditions, and thoughtfully upgraded the room type. In addition, the next morning, he also reminded me of the breakfast and weather conditions... The front desk staff Liu Shuping, Qi Yu, Song Yalun and Sun Dongge all warmly received us, were skilled in business, and quickly handled the check-in and check-out procedures. GGuest UserIt was our first time in Songhua resort. We chose Jenny apartments because it seems they were very closed to slopes and we were right. The building 2 was just in front of the ski center building and the cable car. Simple but cozy apartment. Perfect for 3-4 people. Jenny and her family were absolutely nice since the beginning: she helped us with the luggages from the nearest parking ( the apartments are in a pedestrian area so the car can’t reach the door), to get the ski pass, to get some tickets for the swimming pool… and to resolve any doubt we had. They don’t offer breakfast but there are many choices 5 minutes walking. We enjoyed a lot our time in Songhua resort! We will come back soon!!

SStevey_FlI read extensive reviews before I booked this hotel a few months ago, and my experience staying 3 nights here did support those excellent reviews.
The services were superior and the staff very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was good and packed with sufficient proteins and nutrients to prepare for a full half day skiing. You can rent ski equipments ( even clothing) right at the basement conveniently after you are done eating. Ski passes and ski classes can be purchased right there, with the channel discount prices, so you avoid the hassle of doing these things at the Ski Service Center.
There is a Tesla Model Y always ready to take you from hotel basement to the ski slopes (the ski-in and ski-out access was closed during my stay there but in most cases you could do it) and take you back to hotel whenever you call them a few minutes ahead of time). The hotel itself is located within walking distance to the ski lifts, so even without the transportation assistance, it is manageable by putting on ski boots and just walk back and forth with your skis.
The room I booked has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a living room with TV and dining table and a kitchen sink and stove ( but no utensils yet so don’t expect to cook meals there). Bottle waters and snacks were replenished daily for free.
Besides its own dinning facilities and a small grocery store on the basement, there are plenty of options to eat and shop on the Main Street just down the road from the hotel. Overall, the New Story is a happy story and I look forward to returning in a year or two.
(My advice for those who can afford flexible schedules, try to come here in slow season like now outside the Xmas and Chinese New Year windows, the snow is still quite good yet the crowds are not existent and you can get really good deals in staying, though the lift ticket is still not cheap, 430 RMB a or some $60-65 a day. Much more in busy season).

KKELLY JAYI stayed at the Holiday Inn between Christmas and New Year. My friends stayed in the Club Med down the road. Although I joined them for dinner at Club Med, I was genuinely very happy with my stay at Holiday Inn. The room was spacious with a good layout. It had central heating and underfloor heating (lovely after a day of skiing). The room was clean, and I appreciate that the staff offered to change the linen and towels daily, but only on request as they were conscious of the environment. The staff were friendly, but it was difficult with the language barrier as they spoke very limited English and I needed to translate everything.
I was very happy with the breakfast at the hotel, as it had a range of good quality western and Asian dishes. I could easily fill up on this food and not eat again until dinner. If I had have been hungry, I could have visited the little snack shop in the lobby.
Though the hotel is a short 5min walk away from the main ski service hall, there is a ski-in ski-out option from the hotel if you already have equipment. Alternatively, you can ride the free shuttle bus from the hotel to the service hall. The shuttle bus runs every 5-10mins until 10pm, which is very useful as you can also use it to go to dinner and back. Included in the hotel booking, was free entrance to the Japanese hot springs. This is close to the ski hall, so you can take the shuttle. It is wonderful and highly recommended for all ages, especially as it is technically part of the hotel’s stay!

GGuest UserWe stayed here on New Years Eve for 1 night in the suite and were happy with our choice. The room was spacious, modern, spotless, and the general layout of the rooms was nice in that the bathroom and bedroom were far apart. (The bathroom has a solid door and the shower is separated, which we always appreciate.) At first as foreigners we were told by the staff we couldn't stay there (even though they accepted our booking with our foreign passports), but the manager stepped in and was so helpful and apologetic. He could speak English and politely explained the situation, then spoke to the local police to sort everything out. He also gave us an ice bucket for our ice cream delivery later, and helped me to look for a pair of glasses I thought I left in the room after we left -- so friendly and professional! There's very little parking, but they have an attendant help fit everyone's cars in. Our only suggestions would be for the room set up: a couch would be much cozier in the living room area, or alternatively the TV should maybe go in the bedroom. A door or curtain for the bedroom could also help block out light. Overall a great stay though! And from a lot of searching on ctrip, seems like one of the nicest options in downtown!

GGuest UserThis is a very cost-effective hotel. The bedding is very comfortable, and the location is good. There are supermarkets and it is easy to get a taxi. There are parking spaces on the roadside, but there are not many vacancies after staying for two days. Maybe the roadside space is a bit tight. Fortunately, I didn't rent a car. It is very close to Jiangbin Park, where there are rime and ice and snow parks, which are fun. Go to Wanlu Yinsi to see rime, and walk along the Songhua River. It's so beautiful. It's best to stay here when you come to Jilin to see rime.

GGuest UserThe owner of the inn is very enthusiastic, and the dishes cooked by the chef are also delicious. The accommodation in the hotel is okay. You can contact the owner to arrange transportation. The hotel is near the Songhua River, and it happens to be where you can take pictures of sunsets and sunrises, and the rime is very good. By the way, I was able to take pictures of the stars, so I added the owner's WeChat account before checking in. He taught us in detail how to take the bus to the entrance of the inn after getting off the train. We ordered dinner in the restaurant at night when we arrived. My friend and I only ordered two dishes and didn't finish them. The portion was really huge. Early the next morning, the boss knocked on the door to wake us up and drove us to see it. Sunrise and rime. The boss’s Wuling car is a beautiful sight in the scenic spot. When he comes back, he will have a home-cooked breakfast at the inn. After dinner, the boss also drove us to the scenic spot of Wusong Island and introduced the local customs and characteristics to us tourists very enthusiastically. A very satisfying trip. I will come back next time!

He checked our food preferences, called ahead and sent a car to take us to a good restaurant! Breakfast is nice and right next to the ski service center. GGuest UserWe traveled to Songhuahu with another American expat family. Booked 4 rooms for two families with 7 kids and two adults. It was tight but that was expected. Xiaohui got us extra bed and blankets so everything worked out for sleeping. Only a 5 minute walk to the ski shop for rentals and then a 2 minute shuttle to the base of the slopes. This is an awesome skii experience for families. (But this region doesn’t have many English speakers so you’ll need to be able to speak Chinese or use translation software or have a translator) For this price you can’t beat this place. We came to play and ski, not hang out in the room. 😆. Breakfast was awesome if you like Chinese style buns, noodles, rice, eggs etc. Lunch and dinner options are plentiful and surprisingly affordable (US$5-10) and there are some descent beers to be found. The resort was designed by a Japanese firm so its well thought out. Bunny slopes are to the left and greens at the base. Blues are good and weave in and out of the greens if you want. There’s a separate section for blues and another for blacks with its own lift for the dads. (If you’re into double black’s you’ll Be disappointed but we were having fun with the blacks and wooded sections) there are sections for jumps too. Great variety for 3 day family skiing. The lifts even have windshields and there’s a gondola to the top. Restaurant at the top can get you a bowl of noodles for only US$5 or hit chocolate for 3. Medical care was efficient and cheap too, and the park fee comes with insurance. Don’t ask how we know. Haha. The best thing was the service from Xiaohui. We literally didn’t have to think about anything- tickets, lessons, gear. Price was market price for the season but so so easy. One of our best vacations ever. Good place for a variety of skier levels and not too crowded even at peak season.
