Because the public transportation in Chaozhou is not very developed, it is recommended to use a shared electric car or take a taxi to travel. You can also walk along Xinqiao Road to the ancient city. There are many places to eat on the roadside, so it is recommended to walk there. Later, because the bed and bath were comfortable enough, and I wanted to eat local white porridge snacks, I stayed one more night. You can go to the Fengchun white porridge to try it, it’s delicious! Hotel service is top notch. They upgraded our room when we arrived early for check in, serve us hot tea each time we appear at the lobby, and tend to our needs without delay. We did not book with breakfast however they gave us free breakfast anyway - great selection of food with local delights! The room itself is very spacious and comfortable to sleep with. Only down side is the location is not walkable to the ancient city part, you go to take a didi, but no issue at all for us. We travelled with 3 elderlies and they all enjoyed the stay! Would definitely go to mercure again!

This amenity was a welcome surprise, and we took full advantage of it by submitting 15 pieces of clothing for laundering. To our delight, the laundry was returned to us on the same day, washed and neatly folded. This level of service exceeded our expectations and made our stay even more convenient. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by the front desk staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. From providing valuable recommendations for local attractions and restaurants to going the extra mile in making reservations for us, their attentiveness and genuine care made our trip more meaningful and memorable.
