Lady boss is incredibly friendly and we had a great time together eating and chatting.
Location is right outside the ancient city and walking distance to the museum.
You would have to take a cab here.

Staff are very nice and helpful. Room was clean, and the location is right at the entrance to the scenic area. Please note that there are no busses that reach the hostel from the train station, and you must take a taxi.
Nevertheless, I totally recommend this place and would definitely come here again next time!

I had one of the best hostel experiences here, and it can really be traced back to the fact that the woman who runs it is just an incredibly kind person. As I was there very early in the tourist season, they’d just opened, and it was only me and one other guest. The hostel boss offered to make us a delicious dinner, for free, that we all ate together. It felt like visiting family. The next morning, we had an early train, and it turned out to be too early in the day and the season for taxis to be nearby, so she drove us half an hour to the train station. Would highly recommend staying here for the wonderful hospitality alone.
The one thing to know is that the hostel is very close to the scenic area, which is useful for exploring but means there are no restaurants or shops nearby.

The hostel is ok. The owners are nice and although they don’t know English very well they helped us with everything we needed. The location is close to the scenic spot, but not convenient besides that.

Recommendations and help to organize my stay in Dunhuang were great. Friendly, enthusiastic and dynamic service. Location is excellent. Stylish and comfortable facilities. Whether for a night or a few weeks in Dunhuang, highly recommend for both foreigners, locals, backpackers or groups.

The lady boss is super nice! I managed to get an entire study tour group together in one night, and was lucky enough to get a free meal from the proprietress. Hahaha. Although we didn't stay for long, the proprietress was really humorous and charming. In the end, I also got a free meal from the boss. It was a great experience, which left me with a very unique impression of Jiayuguan!
