This homestay is really ”good wind”. The landlord and his family are warm and hospitable, the service is meticulous and thoughtful, and they also prepare fruit milk for guests from afar and can order breakfast. The bed in the room was super comfortable. I had two pillows high and low. I slept very well in both nights and was more comfortable than a five-star hotel. The room is also equipped with a humidifier, a bath heater, and a smart mirror. The layout on the second floor is equipped with a leisure area with mountain views, and the view is very good! The next day I lived, I saw a rainbow. The two terraces can be viewed and dried. A large yard can park several cars for self-driving tourists. It is very convenient to go out for 2 minutes to the north gate of the ancient town. I really feel at home in my heart.

It is well known for it’s beautiful landscape, the ethnic diversity and it’s peacefulness. Many visitors are attracted to this beautiful village and would stay for months to paint, take photos and hike. We used to travel around the world and we understand how important it is to stay in a warm, clean, convenience and welcoming place to make your journey more comfortable and memorable. Miss May Hotel was transformed from a traditional house built by the Bai family. We preserved the unique style of this historic house with a touch of modern amenities. As soon as I arrived, I felt I was a family member of the friendly and joyful owner couple. They went beyond almost any other hotel I have traveled to, to make my trip to Shaxi the best possible, arranging trips, walking me to destinations, cooking free meals for me, and explaining the local culture so I had more awareness of the beauty that is Shaxi and the Bai people. They did all of this as if it was the most joyful thing they could possibly did with their time, not out of obligation or responsibility. The room was so tastefully decorated, and the garden of abundant flowers and plants and lounge area, all made for a heavenly experience

Before coming to Shaxi Ancient Town, I went to Lijiang and Shangri-La. Shaxi Ancient Town is the best ancient town. It is very comfortable to walk around, and there are few people and it is cool! The owner of the B&B where I stayed was also very enthusiastic and upgraded the room type for free! The breakfast at the B&B is delicious, and the rice noodles are rated as the best rice noodles I have eaten in Yunnan this time! It’s a pity that the itinerary was only planned for one day. It’s really a place where you can stay for a few more days, suitable for daze and relax 😎

Facilities: First of all, let’s talk about the hotel facilities and environment. Just like in the picture, all the hardware facilities in the hotel are the best at present. Dyson hair dryers, Dyson humidifiers, and floor heating in the room. For people like me who are afraid of cold, It's amazing. It's warm even when you walk barefoot in the room. Toiletries are complete, Bulgari brand. We also thoughtfully prepared lipstick, eyeliner, disposable face towels, etc. What warms my heart the most is that a beautiful little bag containing sunscreen spray, masks, paper towels, wet wipes, sunglasses and folding parasols is also prepared for guests to use. The details are simply the best of any hotel I've ever stayed at.
Service: Let’s talk about service. They helped us with our luggage and sent it to the car for us. We also had free afternoon tea and the cakes were delicious. Coffee and tea are provided free of charge during your stay. After a few o'clock, there will be carefully prepared Jiama souvenirs, which the children love so much.
Environment: Finally, the location of the hotel is also very good. It is located in the ancient town of Shaxi. There are beautiful and quiet streets of the ancient town right outside. It is very comfortable to browse the small shops next to it. It takes a minute or two to walk to the ancient stage. There is Yujin Bridge in front of us. The lady at the front desk will recommend delicious restaurants to us. After we went there, it was really delicious!
In short, this store and the beautiful and quiet Shaxi Ancient Town are places that I still want to visit.

It's not big in size but it's new and clean. The location is very good. It's right at the pedestrian street. You don't have to drag your luggage far. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. Shaxi Ancient Town is so beautiful that it is difficult to describe my love for it in words. Simple folk customs, simple and quiet tile houses. I forgot to ask the innkeeper where he was from. I think the reason why he set up his home here was probably because he was infected by the feelings of Shaxi. In the morning, when I opened the window and listened quietly to the sound of drizzle and the chirping of birds in the empty valley, it seemed that everything should be like this, I should be here, this is how my life should be, everything is so peaceful. Calm and relaxed, this is the feeling Pingshe gives me, my heart seems to be soothed.
The boss is a very life-loving and warm-hearted person. He took my children and I to and from the ancient town, helped with luggage, and recommended reliable travel plans for our reference, which made our itinerary planning more complete. He also gave us a small gift before leaving. Thank you😊. My children and I usually like to go out for a walk starting from lunch, eating and watching on the street, so happy! There is a very good bookstore near the ancient town. You need to walk along the country road after crossing the bridge to get there. The scenery along the way is so beautiful! There will also be a local market on Friday, with many snacks and vegetables that I have never seen before, which is very interesting. Come to Shaxi, Pingshe is really a good choice!

By car, you can park your car in the parking lot of Lanlinge Hotel, and it only takes five minutes to walk there. Opposite the small courtyard is the big old tree where Ah Nai sells things. It is very close to Sideng Street and the ancient stage. There are three set meals to choose from for breakfast. After staying for two days, I tasted the bait set set and the Western set set. The taste and presentation were very attentive. The overall environment and supplies are good, and it's very comfortable to stay.

The location of this hotel is literally on the doorstep of the pedestrian zone yet it is still accessible by car. The public car park is also right next door to the hotel. The hotel is decorated in traditional style and is very quiet at night. I liked that the hotel provided electric blankets for the cold nights. The breakfast is delicious and enough to keep you going for most of the day. Helpful staff and a relaxing place to enjoy Shaxi.

A delightful inn with a beautiful courtyard full of blooms, greens and some fishes. The 4 of us were lucky to be there in April being the flowering season. Cosy outdoor areas to enjoy the environment and weather and snacks. Lovely mountain views from the top gazebo.
Great location in a quiet area with comfy room and amenities [heated toilet seat too]. Friendly and courteous staff. Warm milk for the night too. Highly recommend this place.
Short walk to the ancient town to Yujin Bridge, shops, eating places, canola fields and lotus ponds. Flowers blooming everywhere -- delights the heart!

GGuest UserThe B&B is about 2 minutes away from the pedestrian street. It is easily accessible by car. It is convenient to unload luggage and there is no need to drag luggage along the stone road. It is very convenient. When traveling, I always hope that my accommodation will be clean, quiet and brightly lit. Lanyue B&B exceeded my expectations on these three points.
The rice noodles for breakfast at the B&B are particularly delicious, and hot fresh milk is provided in the evening. The room is spacious and the bed is very good to sleep on. There are almost no faults.
Shaxi is different from other ancient towns that have become commercialized and stereotyped. The scenery here is beautiful, and the shops have a literary style and are full of human touch. You will meet kind and cheerful people who are willing to help, such as the owner of Lan Yue B&B, the little yellow car (No. 50), The owner of Xi Farmhouse Farmhouse Cuisine and Riverside Fish Restaurant, stayed here for two days, and still lingered over it. What initially attracted us were the great books that covered the walls of Baidao Library!
Using 40% of the best space as public space, sharing more than 10,000 volumes of various good books, spacious and bright environment and family-like atmosphere, this is the biggest gift to us in the flower house.
In Shaxi's one-week plan, we chose to stay in the hotel for half of the time.
There are not many rooms in the hotel, there are 4 rooms in the front yard, and you can see the view from the window.
Gothic is a family duplex suite. There is enough space for us and our children to read, write and enjoy privately.
This is probably the case for rooms with a view. Every day starts with sunshine and the scenery outside the window.
The sofa by the window is the best choice for reading in a daze in the room, watching the sunlight wandering in the room and feeling the light and shadow.
The most charming place in the flower house is the garden designed and managed by the eighty-year-old aunt. There are flowers everywhere. There is also the Baidao Library where we choose to spend more time. The feeling of being embraced by good books is very reassuring.
The highest reward of travel is meeting like-minded people.
In the flower house, chatting with the gentle-hearted boss couple, the store manager Cheng Zi, and a group of like-minded guests who also love books is the biggest gain of our trip.
Orange will prepare a different delicate breakfast every morning, served in delicate dishes. A good day starts with a glass of fresh milk.
Oranges are attentive, quick, friendly, caring, intellectual, and sweet. girl next door.

In my mind, it is the most beautiful and uncommercial original ecological ancient town. The Xiaotuanyuan Inn where I stayed this time is particularly worth recommending. The inn is located in the core of Shaxi Ancient Town, and it is only a few minutes' walk from the ancient stage. There is no car in the core area of the ancient town, and the alleys are all *stone roads, which are difficult to walk. The inn girl was very enthusiastic and pulled a luggage cart to pick me up, which was very warm. The inn was newly renovated after the Spring Festival. The bed was very comfortable, and it actually used a Serta mattress. The room has air conditioning and screen windows, and even the sealing ***** at the bottom of the door. The yard is very quiet, spacious and clean. It is rainy, but the inn has a drum washing machine and dryer that can be used. In addition, the Bai ethnic group rice noodles for breakfast are great.

GGuest UserUnbeatable, highly recommended! You must go to Shaxi when you go to Dali. When you arrive in Shaxi, you must come to this Xilinyuan if you like quietness. In the valley surrounded by mountains, the lakes face the small village. No matter the environment, climate, or hotel facilities, they are all unbeatable! Most of the staff are residents of the nearby villages. All the staff are super enthusiastic and sincere. No matter which position, even the staff who move the luggage are very active and enthusiastic. It feels that they all like the guests and this job from the bottom of their hearts. This feeling is more reassuring and relaxing than completely standardized smiles and services.
The hotel room has an unbeatable view, a single-family house with a small terrace, mountain view, lake view, and Taohuayuan origin. I also saw a group of monkeys on the way back. Three days is not enough, I will definitely come back. Highly recommended again!!!

MManigartThis little gem is 5 min walk away from the old city, along the river. You can reach the famous bridge following the river, a nice stroll away from the crowd. The rooms are truly beautiful and the overall atmosphere is peaceful, even with kids around. It’s well decorated and very high quality furniture and bedding. We arrived earlier than the check-in time but they welcomed us with tea, fruits and snacks. They provide also a « shuttle » to go to the old town and pick you up anywhere in the old town maximum 20min after sending a message. The Chinese breakfast was different everyday and delicious. One day we left early and they gave us some part of the breakfast to go. We wanted to ride bicycles and they sent us a contact and location to get them. Same for a driver to go to the mountain. They are all the kindest people. We really recommend this place.

Although it is not in the most bustling core area of Shaxi, it is only a minute's walk from several attractions. The homestay is run by the owner and his wife. There is a very cute son. Recently, there is a very good kitten! I didn't expect to travel with the cat.
As a little clean, the homestay is very clean! Because I can't find a satisfactory high-standard cleaning aunt, the boss and the proprietress are personally taking care of it. The bathroom provides disposable towels and bath towels, which makes people feel happy. The bedding is also neat and clean, and the mattress is very comfortable. It feels like living in your own home.
The houses are basically smart homes. Xiao Ai and Xiaozhi students can serve guests very well. Xiaomi TV, bathroom heating, night lights, and the boss's family's intentions.
The boss family is really hospitable and talkative. Because the charging cable is lost, they will borrow it. I like to have tea and chat with the boss, and I can understand the life of the Bai people very well.

Everything from hardware to software is great! The ladies at the B&B are also great, considerate, gentle and beautiful! It made me identify the Jixiashan brand, and I will choose it if I have the chance🤩🤩🤩I hope Shaxi will always be like this, quiet and beautiful! It is the most beautiful countryside and ancient town.
