Staying at this family run hotel turned out to be the highlight of our visit to Shaxi ancient town. The hotel has beautiful courtyards and impressive building architecture. It’s situated just steps away from the ancient town with many restaurants and shops nearby yet remains a quiet oasis once we step into the hotel. The hotel room is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Bed is clean and comfortable with heated blanket. The host is very friendly and helped provide tips on attractions around town and transportation to Shaxi town. Breakfast was delicious and to our delight western breakfast option was provided. Good value for money and highly recommended.

Shaxi Ancient Town is so beautiful that it is difficult to describe my love for it in words. Simple folk customs, simple and quiet tile houses. I forgot to ask the innkeeper where he was from. I think the reason why he set up his home here was probably because he was infected by the feelings of Shaxi. In the morning, when I opened the window and listened quietly to the sound of drizzle and the chirping of birds in the empty valley, it seemed that everything should be like this, I should be here, this is how my life should be, everything is so peaceful. Calm and relaxed, this is the feeling Pingshe gives me, my heart seems to be soothed. The boss is a very life-loving and warm-hearted person. He took my children and I to and from the ancient town, helped with luggage, and recommended reliable travel plans for our reference, which made our itinerary planning more complete. He also gave us a small gift before leaving. Thank you😊. My children and I usually like to go out for a walk starting from lunch, eating and watching on the street, so happy! There is a very good bookstore near the ancient town. You need to walk along the country road after crossing the bridge to get there. The scenery along the way is so beautiful! There will also be a local market on Friday, with many snacks and vegetables that I have never seen before, which is very interesting. Come to Shaxi, Pingshe is really a good choice!

The beautiful little courtyard, the gentle sunshine, and the days that pass by like a fleeting time! The inn is in a hidden alley. I think this alley is the most beautiful in Shaxi. Although it's not on the main street, you can reach the center of the town in just 5 minutes' walk in a quiet place, where friends from all over the world can gather together to chat, eat, and walk... it's a worthwhile trip!

A very quiet place, tranquil place. When we arrived it took a few minutes to track down someone to check in but when we did they were very helpful. Had a choice of rooms and it was large, clean and comfortable. Excellent location just a few minutes walk from the old town (town is very small so nowhere is very far!). Lovely town, well worth a visit for a break from the tourists in Dali or Lijiang. Lots of options for coffee shops and food nearby!

We live in a parent-child room. The room is quite large. The overall building is a wooden beam structure, which fits well with the environment of the town. The inn has a shared corridor balcony, where you can rest and read in a daze. The enclosed courtyard has green plants and a pool , the environment is very comfortable. The only bad experience is that there is no rear window in the bathroom, the indoor ventilation is not good, and the smell is not good. In fact, opening a small window on the back wall can solve the problem

The boss was very enthusiastic and helped us upgrade to a family room. He took the initiative to help us carry the box up and down the stairs. When we left, he sent us to Yujin Bridge. It was too thoughtful. Figure 3 is the view from the window of the room. The yard is also very beautiful, you can sit under the pomegranate tree and drink tea, the environment is very good. The only thing is that the sound insulation is not good, but the flaws are not concealed! The location is also very good, next door is the raven coffee recommended by Xiaohongshu. In short, it is very recommended!

The cozy Bai people's courtyard is surrounded by green plants, and there is a school of fish that swims when it rains. The all-wood-structured room, opening the door and window, is like a picture scroll, pleasing to the eye. The balcony surrounds the small courtyard, which is suitable for viewing the scenery and thinking about things. The location of the inn is very good, suitable for sleeping. It takes five minutes to walk from the center of the ancient town, turn a corner to the grain management office, and then pass this relatively quiet avenue. The owner of the inn is very warm and thoughtful, staying at the inn that you don't want to leave...

This place is in a great location just outside the Main Street - about a 5 minute walk. It was extremely clean, comfy and perfect for all our needs. The staff were really friendly and used to working with foreign travellers. If we came back to Shaxi, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The room is as shown in the picture. It is a wooden house with charm and a terrace. The inn is in the ancient city. The ancient city is not big, but it is very quiet and has a simple style. Especially the couplets engraved on the wooden boards of each door show the family style, show folk customs, and have meaning. Be literate. The boss has replaced the plaque with a new one, which makes it more upscale. The boss is nice.

The boss arranged a car for us one day in advance. When we arrived at the parking lot, he came over to help us carry our luggage. On the way back to the inn, he introduced us to delicious food, fun places, and routes. The aunt even moved our luggage to us. Upstairs, I happened to know that they were eating, and then I had a meal with my friends. Auntie's cooking was delicious. After chatting, I found out that she used to be a chef in a restaurant. The small courtyard is very warm and feels like home. Since it is the off-season, The boss upgraded the room for us. The room is very large, and the disposable supplies are complete. Even the toilet cover has been taken into consideration. There is a century-old jujube tree in the yard. Eating one should have a good meaning. There is a large study room where cats can play. Fu is very well-behaved and very clingy. She can be held in my arms for an entire afternoon. The boss is really a beautiful woman, with so much and long hair, I’m so envious 😺 She looks very young, I yearn for her life so much, and she’s still copying scriptures. She said that her grandma will be celebrating her first anniversary soon, and she will go to the temple to worship her. Then we kept chatting. I liked her lifestyle and attitude very much. The years were peaceful. At the same time, I also talked about my troubles. She understood and enlightened me in her own unique way. The trip was very short and she made an agreement with the boss. I will continue to come back. Shaxi is really healing and beautiful. It was an unexpected surprise to meet Da Maoyi Inn. I wish Little Puff and Puff’s mother be safe and happy, and everything goes well. When I left, my aunt gave me a big matsutake, hahahahaha, I was so happy... The location of the inn is very good. There is an ancient stage just outside the building, Yujin Bridge is in front of the building, and the big old tree next to it is where Grandma buys things. Li Xian also took photos at the door, and also took the same style. After the boss’s introduction, I took a small yellow car and went to Pioneer Bookstore and Mid-Levels Coffee. The scenery was super beautiful. Five-star recommendations include Shaxi Ancient Town and Da Maoyi Inn. If your schedule is not very tight, you can stay for a few more days. There is a large kitchen and laundry room downstairs, which is very convenient.
