I was attracted by the owner from the moment I got off the car - he personally came to the village entrance to pick us up, and carried our big box across the cobblestone road, as enthusiastic as entertaining old friends. The homestay is hidden in the old alley, and the yard is full of bougainvillea and succulents. The old wooden house has been renovated in a special way, retaining the charm of the ancient town without losing modern comfort. Sitting in the patio at night, drinking tea and watching the stars, listening to the barking of dogs in the distance, I instantly unloaded all the fatigue in the city. The room is so clean, the bedding is the kind of soft cotton and linen texture, and the sleep is super sweet. The most amazing thing is the breakfast. The boss's wife makes rice noodles every day, accompanied by local pickles and local eggs, and small cookies baked by herself. It is simple but heartwarming. The boss and his wife are so familiar with Shaxi that they will draw hand-drawn maps for us, recommend photo spots to avoid crowds, and tell us which rice noodles are the most authentic. Before we left, they gave us rose jam that they had dried themselves, saying that it was picked from their own yard. This thoughtfulness was really touching. If I come to Shaxi again, I will definitely stay here! This is the most precious human touch in travel~
