"My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at this exquisite spa, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the warm and attentive staff, who went above and beyond to make our day special. The ambiance is serene and beautifully designed, creating an atmosphere of complete relaxation and luxury. We indulged in a couples massage that was heavenly, followed by some time in the private sauna and relaxation areas. Every detail was perfect – from the soothing music to the selection of essential oils personalized for us. The spa's amenities are impeccable, and the treatments are delivered by highly skilled therapists who make sure you leave feeling rejuvenated and cherished. This spa truly exceeded our expectations, making our anniversary celebration a memorable one. If you’re looking for a luxurious, tranquil escape to celebrate a special occasion, I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. We can’t wait to return!"

I’m not sure where to start, Retreat was one of the best experiences I have had in quite some time. It was so relaxing. The food was so refreshing and fulfilling Jonathan made every meal time feel so personal. The Spa was fresh, and clean and the employees so welcoming and accommodating. I can’t say any more but just book. I promise you will not be disappointed.

The Retreat at Costa Rica has been an absolutely incredible experience. From the delicious meals to the fabulous spa treatments it’s a trip I plan to make again! Jonathan C. provided a mock tail class and the results were outstanding. You won’t miss the alcohol, I promise!

An amazing experience. Staff, especially Jonathan made us feel like family!!! Jonathan can craft a mock or cocktail unimaginable. Everyone greets you with a smile because why not its likes a little piece of heaven. Quiet ambiance and a wonderful place to heal. The spa and therapy treatments are second to none. Met lovely people and the food spectacular.

Impeccable. Perfect. Heaven. Not enough words to describe how great this place is. Especially the service all around. The meal service is fantastic. Everyone wears a genuine smile and it’s truly authentic. Jonathan especially has incredible service in and an intoxicating smile. Let’s hope you see him when you come!

Staying at the Retreat is a unique and incredible experience. The staff are extremely warm and attentive and made our stay very special: the reception/management staff such as Emerson and Alex are so helpful and friendly; our tour with Alejandro to Manuel Antonio where we saw a variety of wildlife was so much fun and informative; the restaurant staff including Fabio, Juan, Karina and Jonathan make the dining experience wonderful; the food made by Sergio, Lindsay and their team is an amazing combination of healthy and super tasty; and best of all are the creative and delicious cocktails created by their expert mixologist Jonathan! The spa treatments are also some of the best I’ve ever experienced! I visited with my sister for our birthday and they made it truly special!

Easily on-par with any high end resort (think Four Seasons, Aman) in terms of property and amenities. This boutique experience edges above the afforementioned with its unparalleled service and exceptional attention to detail. As a neurosurgeon I appreciate those with a true passion for their craft- Jonathan curated a bar program that consistently delivered some of the best cocktails I've experienced in Latin America!

The nickname for The Retreat Costa Rica is 'heaven on earth' and it is no exaggeration--a gorgeous setting in the mountains with pristine rooms with views to appreciate the sunset. The chef & team prepared creative cuisine using many ingredients from their own gardens focused on well being and vitality. We took a mocktail course from Jonathan and had drinks unlike anything we had ever tasted. The bonus was the drinks were good for our health too. The spa was remarkable! For the first time I experienced an Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage with Amal Michael. This was the most memorable and impactful body treatment of my life!! Truly he is a gifted practitioner. My husband commented that my face looked different as the worry lines disappeared! We appreciate the entire staff taking such amazing care of us. We are already planning a return visit to our new favorite wellness spa & resort!
