The location of the hotel is excellent. The territory is also wonderful. Nice pool (however, the pool staff could have been more friendly). The breakfast is excellent. That's where all the good things finished.
The service is disgusting. Room cleaning was very bad. I had to remind them about everything (change the bathrobe , bring coffee). The rooms are very old, and the bath is very inconvenient . When you wash, you always fill the bathroom floor.
Upon check-in, they left a deposit in dollars - they promised to return the dollars upon check-out, but in the end they said that it is not possible and gave us shekels (recalculated at a predatory rate).
It is very strange to get such service, when you pay 900 USD per night.

From reception, boarding, housing facilities, room service, dining and more. They are all five-star or above, and the highest is 6-star service. The only disadvantage is that the room size is relatively small.

Outstanding Stay at a Classy and Historic King David Hotel Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The property exudes elegance and charm, with a rich sense of history that adds to its unique character. The service was top-notch – attentive, thoughtful, and always with a smile. The staff were incredibly courteous and showed a genuine commitment to hospitality. One of the most memorable parts of our stay was a historical tour of the old city, organized by the hotel. It was led by Dr. Haim Cohen, an archaeologist, whose deep knowledge and engaging storytelling made the tour both fascinating and enriching. It perfectly complemented our overall experience and added real depth to our visit. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. The pool was another highlight – clean, . refreshing, and beautifully maintained Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and meaningful stay.

Exceptional hotel. In my opinion best hotel in Israel. On line with finer hotels in Europe. Service excellent. Room with small balcony was perfect. Breakfast best in Israel. Dinner at Grill Room a must; excellent meat, live music. Location is great for walking, touring. Spent one entire day at hotel. The pool and gardens overlooking old city offer an incredibly relaxing resort experience in a hotel filled with history. One recommendation, better/brighter lighting in lobby/main sitting area.

This hotel boasts exemplary treatment and ambiance. From the exquisite furnishings in the common areas and the rooms to the extraordinary food! The staff were professional, welcoming and accommodating to your wants. The grounds are simply beautiful and peaceful and its location convenient.

King David Hotel is not just a Hotel, it is the combination of absolute luxury and phenomenal hospitality! Honestly: not some employee had been friendly, ANY of these soul touching warmhearted members of the King David dream-team, had giving me the feeling to be a welcomed guest.

I just left the KD with my mom and daughter. We stayed for 5 nights. I took my mom who is 86 and the last time she stayed at the King David was 1984. She remembered it as being a magical place and nothing has changed. The staff is unbelievable. The management team is of the highest quality. The 5th floor room with the old city view is fantastic. Watching the sunrise in the morning and seeing the old city is the most special thing in the world. My daughter 16 loved the pool and the breakfast. At the end of our stay my mom who has traveled all over the world told me this is the best place she has ever stayed. She has been to the best hotels all over the world. I would change nothing about the KD. It is truly perfect.
