Strictly speaking, this is not a pure hotel, but more like a B&B. During this trip, I stayed in duplex B&Bs, Four Seasons Hotels, and local specialty hotels. Although this was not the most luxurious and high-end hotel, it was the most considerate and punctual. I was very impressed. I may choose this place again on my next trip to Jerusalem. Facilities: A simple coffee bar on the first floor, with free coffee and simple snacks and desserts. There is actually a piano and the setting is very cozy. The only drawback is that you can't wash clothes, you have to go to the laundry room outside. Hygiene: Overall very clean, even the wash basin is very clean. Environment: Nearby bus station, convenient for traveling. It's just troublesome to park, there is no space. Next to it is Zaher Park, where you can go for a walk in the evening. Also very close to the Israel Museum.

From the moment I entered this lovely hotel, I felt that I was in my 'home away from home'. The innkeepers, Mimi and Yoel, were like friends who were anxious to share their hospitality with us. The lobby was full of objects and precious items from Mimi's family, especially her beloved father. His bakery was lovingly transformed into this beautiful and warm Boutique Hotel. The rooms are all named after cakes created by Mimi's father. Everything about the Biazi, from the owners to the the linens and everything in between was simply marvelous. I will not stay anywhere else when I return to Israel. I already miss my new friends.

We were in Israel to volunteer and nurture Israelis. We never expected to be so taken care of by Mimi and her whole staff! This hotel and its legacy are a gem. I can't ever see myself back in Jerusalem staying anywhere but at the Biazi. All our needs were met from breakfast to hot soup, to tea or coffee anytime. Beautifully appointed rooms and a rooftop deck perfect for Shabbos lunch.

Lovely small hotel in a very peaceful old neighbourhood which is thankfully holding back the developers. Very warm welcome from the owners - interesting history of the family and the building. I wanted somewhere quiet but walkable (station and old city) and 100% made a good choice. From the train station I would recommend getting the light rail to Mahane Yehuda and walk down through the market, as there is a huge amount of construction around the station (no noise at the hotel though). Obviously for it's size, reception isn't 24/7, so it was a little more effort to arrange check-in/out times (compared with a chain hotel), but no real inconvenience. Room was excellent - modern / clean and spacious (separate room for my son). Touring tips: (1) do Yad Vashem - easy journey by light rail (2) for a great rooftop view in the old city, look for the Austrian Hospice (towards Damascus Gate) - 5 shekels well spent. (3) do Bethlehem (take some decent maps) - get the 231 bus over the road from Damascus Gate. (4) for an easier/quicker route to the Western Wall / Temple Mount, turn right immediately after going through the Jaffa Gate. At 8am I saw less than 10 people on my way across...

My husband and I stayed at the Biazi for 2 nights in November. We had a wonderful stay and have already booked another 2 rooms for 3 nights in May. Our room was immaculately clean, very spacious (family room with balcony), and very comfortable. The owners were warm and welcoming. We were offered delicious cookies upon our arrival. I lived in Jerusalem many years ago and this neighborhood (nachlaot) is one of my favorites. Easy walk to the market and about a 15-20 minute walk to city center. No meals served but lots of places within walking distance. I was happy to have a nespresso machine in the room along with a small refrigerator. Breakfast at Cafe Lyon was great. This is my new place to stay in Jerusalem!

A small charming hotel in Nachlaot neighborhood. Excellent location, a walking distance to the train station and to the city center. Our room was sparkling clean and had a great view to Sacker Garden. Highly recommended

The owners have done a wonderful job creating a gem of a hotel. It is conveniently located with the only challenge being parking. The rooms are lovely, tasteful and spacious. The view from the roof is spectacular. It's bare bones from a services perspective so it wouldn't be for everyone but with abundant restaurants and cafes a short walk away it wasn't an issue for us. Besides the owner knowing when we were arriving, blocked a parking spot, met us and helped with our bags. You can't do better than that.
