We learned from the owner that the hotel has been owned by her or her son for a month. The location is great! - We had a wonderful time! The hotel name definitely needs to be changed, though. The entrance area is okay - unfortunately, the hotel bar never opens in the evenings - it seems like everyone in the "Schlafgut" hotel is already asleep by 8 p.m. The dried flowers also seem a bit dated and boring. We had a very spacious room with a double shower, private toilet, balcony, and a king-size bed with a very comfortable mattress. The carpet was unfortunately a bit dirty (stained) - the bathroom door hadn't been cleaned in a while. The air conditioning, refrigerator, and insect screen on one window were very pleasant. We also appreciated that housekeeping didn't come every day unless we requested it. What bothered us about the balcony was that 1) the floor tiles were loose and 2) the balcony railing was quite dirty. The garden definitely needs to be swept daily, the bushes trimmed, and the path to the pool kept clean. The pool is well located and large, but it also needs a thorough cleaning. It might be helpful if a pool attendant came by more often in the afternoon to ask if you'd like a drink. The breakfast was excellent, and the facilities are also very good. The barbecue evening wasn't particularly successful—the rump steak, baked potato, and grilled vegetables could still be improved—and were therefore too expensive! Otherwise, the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine! What I would like to particularly emphasize, however, is the extremely friendly staff. The new owner can already be extremely proud of that! We hope that the new owner will turn the "Hotel Schlafgut" into a "Hotel ..........," where you can still relax and unwind.
