Das Hotel liegt im Industriegebiet in Göschwitz, ist aber von der Autobahn super zu erreichen. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze und man hat einen guten ersten Eindruck. Wir hatten für eine Nacht ein Familienzimmer, was bedeutet, dass es zwei nebeneinander liegende Zimmer mit Verbindungstür sind. So hatte unsere Maus ein eigenes Bad und eine eigene Dusche. In ihrem Zimmer befand sich sogar eine kleine Küche mit Mikrowelle. Die beiden Zimmer zusammen waren riesig. Beide hatten einen Zugang zum Balkon, so dass wir einen tollen Blick über die Stadt hatten. Alles war top sauber, wohl aber auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Betten waren sehr hart, das war für uns etwas ungewohnt. Trotzdem haben wir gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück hatten wir nicht mit dazu gebucht. Hierzu können wir demzufolge nichts sagen. Der Preis für diese Übernachtung war für uns absolut unschlagbar. Auch der Service ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir werden ganz sicher wieder buchen, wenn wir mal wieder in meiner Heimat sind.

This hotel is fully equipped and has a rich breakfast! Free dinner is also available from Monday to Thursday! The tram and bus ride in Jena during the stay are free! I am very satisfied with this hotel! I will stay there next time I go to Jena!

The hotel is very centrally located and is very modern. We had a deluxe room at the Steigenberger. The too close itself is generous and thus corresponds to the 4 stars mentioned. The room had a bathtub, which isn't exactly standard these days. I can't judge the breakfast service, since in my opinion it is clearly too expensive. The only criticism is the not really working air conditioning. This was not really up to the summer temperatures. What strikes me about almost every hotel is the lack of a clock in the room. Another negative point from my point of view are the relatively expensive fees for the underground car park. You could certainly offer a more customer-friendly and cheaper method. On the whole, this hotel is recommended.

I have stayed here for business trips many times. It is a movie-like hotel. The facilities are relatively old, but the hotel is well maintained. Each room has a window and a balcony. It is very comfortable to stay here in winter with sufficient heating. In summer, there is only an old-fashioned ceiling fan and no air conditioning. The continental breakfast is quite rich. You can ask for a ticket to the center of Jena at the front desk every day. English service is available.
