Kangar Chinese Methodist Chapel (CAC)

De Mesra Villa

De Mesra Villa

**************. Overall, overnight experience here for 2 double bed room: 8/10. In my opinion, it's worth the cost for 3 days 2 nights for the purpose of picking up a child at university. The location of this motel is close to the city, and the motel building is located next to a convenience store. So, it's easy to go buy necessities if necessary. There is also a small paddy field next to the motel, so the room we stayed in could enjoy the view. In terms of cleanliness and service, the exterior of the motel lobby at that time may have been maintained or improved, but it did not interfere with the way to enter. The facilities provided in the room, such as the bathroom are in good condition. But, the water in the room I sat in took time to come out fast and stable, maybe there is a problem with the pump. The beds are quite comfortable too, no unpleasant smell. The room space is quite comfortable for 5 of us. There is room to spread out sleeping mats on the floor if necessary. TV broadcasts are provided by local channels and also radio. Cups and water heaters are not provided in the room, but they provide Coway machines for cold and hot drinking water, cups and instant drink packets in the lobby. About the air conditioner, the speed of the water may be a little slow (can't compare with the usual one, because I always use it ^^;). Once it had a problem, so it didn't put out cold air. But, after opening again after we went back to the room, it was okay again. What can be improved, the ceramic floor, although not harmful, but needs to be repaired immediately because it is open/loose/not attached to the floor. In addition, the owner may provide a water heater or a cup in each room. The water pump for the bathroom could be repaired and the hot water system of the bathroom could be improved. Air conditioner may be repaired/maintained/improved for more comfort. Maybe the motel is maintained, they can provide a room that can be used for disabled people, if there is not yet (I didn't notice if there is or not, but look at all the rooms on the upper floor, where there is no way to go up other than stairs). Tips that I can give from my experience, don't forget to bring an extension if you book any place to stay overnight because sometimes there aren't many sockets. Also bring your own plastic waste, it's easy if you want to dispose of waste. Clothes hangers, toiletries, and other necessities may be brought as well, for my situation. This motel feels like a family business, so the children are also in the lobby sometimes. The one who manages my check-in at night is his son (I think). So, maybe the way people may be less professional, in terms of greeting guests who come to check-in. But, they are still friendly with us. Maybe if their children get guests other than Malays, maybe they will feel shy/unusual. So part of the job as a receptionist, the person needs to learn how to communicate and serve guests to get a good first impression. May the owners be blessed with sustenance and may Allah SWT bless their motel business.. May they continue to improve their service and be able to expand their services.

Soo Guan Villa

Although I've been to this hotel with my family a long time ago, I was determined to one day write a review about it because it was so bad. Today, I finally got around to doing so. I could still remember the hotel as clear as yesterday because it stuck in my mind, or more specifically, the smell stuck in my mind. To be fair, the only bad thing about the hotel was the smell. However, the smell was not just in our room. The whole hotel had a funny smell.
