Super 8 by Wyndham Jasper TX

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT Reserved a room for my birthday. Get there and NO WATER IN THE POOL!! Under construction, debris all over parking lot. Looks derelict!!!! NOTHING LIKE THE PICS ON LINE!!! RUINED MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!! DID NOT STAY THERE!!!

Don’t waste you money here. Awful! This place had a dumpster outside of our room with broken glass and trash in it due to remodeling. Hammers beating on the walls at 8am on the weekend and the pool looked like a trash bin. The room is priced at $80 a night but you’ll pay $120 after “FEES” It was not a place I’ll ever go back to. Period!

The following is the message that I sent to Management when asked about my stay: Thank you for asking. This is our first time staying at your hotel. If it wasn't for the cancelation policy, we would have canceled based on the current conditions. I understand that you are currently remodeling your hotel. However the basic accommodations of a clear and fresh room with working hot warm versus room temperature water was not what we received. This isn't indicative of the type of accommodations that I have received from Wyndham in past stays. It would be my suggestion that you have skilled workers repairing things around the clock to get the work completed as soon as possible. In this current condition, we will never come back to visit. Also the Front Desk personnel is not friendly in greeting of Customers when entering the property. This is not a Wyndham standard of practice. Good luck

Unfortunately, I was attacked by bedbugs...disgusting! We changed hotels, of course it was too late! My left hand, right forearm, neck and legs were chewed up pretty good. This should never happen. I told Front Desk and the cleaning staff, the cleaning staff was shocked! Not sure why they were shocked, the rooms don't look that clean, it was room 202. Don't care if I'm in NY, LA, London or rural Texas...this is disgusting. Who can I sue?!

The coffee maker , ice machines, orange juice machine and hair dryer did not work. Breakfast time was cut short both days. No one seemed to care.

Great spot to stop in an emergency. So needed to get a hotel as my vehicle went down in the middle of the night, not far outside of Jasper. Got on ********** and saw this had good ratings and a fair price. Got a room booked and managed to uber over. Facility is aged but is fairly well kept up, room itself is dated but cozy. Very spacious, no strange smells, stains, spots or holes any place. Lots of sitting area, recliner, queen bed, sofa, and desk area with pull out chair. Bed itself is ok, not terrible but not extremely plush. There is a small offering for breakfast, which is a plus albeit I didn't expect it so it's a pleasant surprise. Staff was extremely friendly, very polite and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I didn't have any issues with sound leaking through the walls or with other guests coming and going, very low on the noise pollution side of things, even in the morning when people are generally leaving. WiFi was fairly good; I was able to handle some work meetings and stream teleconferences with it without much issue. Overall, I would stay here again if needed. It was around 30 dollars cheaper than other offerings in the area at the time and I needed a place to sleep off having to make an emergency stop. I would give it a solid 4 stars, great spot, could use a pinch of improvements but what's there doesn't hinder you from having a good budget friendly place to stop in the area.
