I stayed in three hotels in Zanzibar, all priced around 1,000 per night. Compared with this price, the hotel facilities are below average. The room feels a bit shabby, and there are no flowers or trees around. Compared with other hotels nearby, the holiday feeling is much worse. The hotel's rules are unreasonable. None of the other hotels require payment for using the swimming pool towel, and we have to ask for the free bottled water in our room every day. If you don't want it, there will be no water. In addition, if you check out after 10 am, you need to pay 50 US dollars (the first time I have encountered this). As a hotel on the beach, there is no bathroom for use after check-out (this is also the first time at this price). If you need a flight at night at the seaside with a temperature of more than 30 degrees, it will be miserable. You will have to take a 15-hour flight with sweat and sea water sand. Really loved my time in this hotel - the rooms are fabulous with 4-poster beds that are just so comfortable, we were all talking about how nice and squishy the pillows were 😀 the rooms were very large with great AC and we had a beautiful sea view 😀 I have to highlight how delicious the food was - great choice at breakfast (eggs, toast, fresh fruit, crepes and waffles, fresh juice) - I am not a morning person but I made sure to get up for it. I had lunch each day there and again couldn’t recommend it highly enough. It was lovely to be able to walk down the few steps from the hotel straight onto the beach 😀 the staff were really helpful and friendly, special call-out out to Deus who was a great barman! Lots of lovely cocktails there too and a class rooftop bar. The owner is Moldovan/ Irish and is so lovely - really recommend this hotel!

Looking for place to chill for last 5 days of holiday in Tanzania. S&S was an oasis . Great location overlooking the beach , rooms luxurious and clean . Great AC beautiful views of beach . Staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier . Food tasty and reasonably priced. Beach great for strolling running and gaining access to other hotel restaurants. Didn’t swim in sea but pool overlooking sea never crowded and relaxing . A perfect place to stay to chill out. Strongly recommend. Hope to return .

Well…..we were let down by pili pili next door and S&S really saved the last few days of our trip. Our room was clean and spacious, the pool was cool and refreshing right on the sea front but most importantly the staff were fantastic from Amour on the reception to Janet and David in the restaurant they were all very friendly and kind. Thank you all ❤️

Gorgeous hotel. We had a fabulous 2 weeks here, the room had picture windows across the sea and was kept beautifully clean despite the sand we kept dragging in. The hotel is right on the beach and also has a lovely little pool with plenty of sun beds. The staff made the holiday, they were so friendly and helpful, and a special mention goes to Selena who did everything she could to make our stay special, greeting us each day with a smile and joining in with our jokes. This is a small friendly hotel and I would definitely recommend as a little slice of paradise.

Highly recommend S&S Hotel! The rooms are new and bright, A/C is strong, and the in-room refrigerators are a big perk. The breakfasts were plentiful and the pool was big and clean. The awesome staff may have been the best part though! As some reviews shared, it’s not the cheapest offering in the area, but you do get your money’s worth.
