The road from Quito takes appx 6 hours. Parts of the road are in really bad condition. I damaged 2 tires of my rental car that I had to pay when we returned the car ($300). In Ecuador tires and windshields are not cover for any car insurance at least by Alamo Enterprise. We arrived 7.30 pm. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 8. However, they told us that kitchen was closed. We asked for a take away and they said no. They told us that the front desk was just open 8 am to 8 pm. So they literally have nobody available at night to answer any issue. When we arrived to our villa, (4 bedrooms) there was no hot water in any of the 3 bathrooms and kitchen. So that night we showered with cold water. The private hot water pool was dirt and cold. So we couldn't use the pool. Next morning they fixed hot water in the bathrooms. The pool they started cleaning next morning, but it wasn't until the 3rd date that water was clean to use it. This was the day we had to leave..They never heated the pool even we asked every day. So no pool x out stay. The restaurant food was very limited compared to was in the menu. The view was great. The vila was nice and comfy. Just 1 small tv in the livigroom, though. The terrace had an amazing view and easy access to the beach. I may come back in the future, with the condition they have a clean and heated water pool when I arrive and also I would just bring all my food So we don't depend on their limited offer.
