Review: 5-Star Hotel Stay – Mixed Experience. I recently stayed at this 5-star hotel Aug 2025, which, despite its grandeur, is showing its age at nearly a decade old. The property retains an elegant charm, but certain aspects left me with mixed feelings. Room and Cleanliness: The room was impressively spacious, a highlight of the stay, with a bit old decor and ample space to relax. However, the cleanliness was average at best. While the surfaces appeared tidy, there were noticeable signs of wear, and the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke was a major downside. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room through Trip.com and reiterated this during check-in, but was informed that no non-smoking rooms were available. As a gesture, the staff upgraded me to a higher-tier room, which I appreciated, but the cigarette odor was still strong, lingering in both the room and the hotel corridors. This was particularly disappointing for a 5-star property. Service Issue: To address the smoke smell, I called room service to request an air freshener. After waiting 30 minutes with no delivery, I had to call again. The second time, the staff promptly delivered it, which helped slightly, but the experience felt inconsistent with the hotel’s luxury branding. Amenities: On a positive note, the breakfast was exceptional—diverse, mix of local and International cuisine. The swimming pool was another highlight, well-maintained, and a relaxing spot to unwind with an indoor and outdoor scenic view. Overall: While the spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast, and nice pool were highlights, the cigarette smell and inconsistent service detracted from the experience. For a 5-star hotel, I expected better attention to cleanliness and guest requests. I’d recommend this hotel for its amenities but urge management to address the smoking issue and improve service responsiveness to truly meet 5-star standards. Rating: 3.5/5

The location was really decent and it's near a bus stop for us to bypass traffic using the bus to central. Its located at Harmony exchange which houses good eats. Lifts were pretty slow and when we were there, there were three days when there was a school tour group which really hogged the lifts and we couldn't get to our rooms. I felt the sheets weren't changed and the floor was dusty I had to mop it myself - despite asking for the rooms to be cleaned and sheets changed daily. This can definitely be improved if the staff were monitored to do their cleaning properly

Good hotel to stay at a very good breakfast, service is good, bed is comfortable, and shopping mall is just below this hotel, so it is easy to find the things you may need. There is a restaurant too.

Always stay at this very old hotel because still have smoking room, there are many new hotels in Jalarta but very difficult to find smoking room. Fitness Gym is excellent with many types of machines.

I had a great stay! The location is excellent—right in the heart of everything, with plenty of restaurants and cafes just a short walk away. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

An old-school upscale business hotel. Very good service with friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with adequate amenities. With international electric sockets that was very convenient for international tourists. A Family Mart and a KFC are just round the corner, Without 10 minutes walk to find many eateries. Not around with shopping centres. The swimming pool and full-gear gym were excellent! I'd in particular mention Tria of the lobby lounge. I went to the lounge also every evening throughout my stay, Tria was very friendly and consistently provided excellent service.

FYI, we would need to pay deposit of IDR100K during check-in which will be returned upon check-out. The room was located at 2nd Floor and it was really noisy as I could hear the event organiser did their mike rest/MC-ing at the ballroom practically everyday. Not really a pleasant experience when you woken up by those noise. Overall, cleanliness is A+ but the breakfast is just average with limited choices.

The location of the hotel for me is strategic althought the route to the hotel is quite packed. You will be suprised that there are local stalls along the hotel where you can try! Alfarmart is also near to the hotel The lift of the hotel only has 1 so you need to be patient a bit while waiting for your turn😅 Overall the price is affordable for the short stay and I would highly recommended for those who love short vacay

The hotel is relatively simple but modern. The room was spacious, and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was typical, with a strong emphasis on local cuisine. Walking along the main streets outside the hotel is possible, though caution is advised due to heavy traffic and uneven surfaces. The staff are the hotel’s greatest asset—they were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, and I would definitely stay here again.

For travel go to outdoor and come for sleep only is okey , for any facilities like restaurant swimming pool cause this type hotel is for express hotel as look like travelling hotel for backpacker or business need.
