Great deal on a very good hotel.
Tru by Hilton Jacksonville St. Johns Town Center

First time to Jacksonville and also first time staying at a Hilton Tru brand, very nice time. The Tru itself is very easy to get to from JAX airport and pretty much right off I-295 (Exit 52). Places I visited were Downtown Jacksonville, I recommend the Riverwalk as well. Other places I've visited were the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, Jacksonville Beach and Jacksonville Arboretum, which has nice paths to explore (I recommend both the ”Jones Creek” and the ”Live Oak” trails). All were very easy to drive to from the hotel. Plenty of food options as well as shopping, located literally in the St John's Town Center. Finally the Front Desk staff were welcoming everyday during my stay when walking by. I most definitely recommend this Tru location in Jacksonville and will look forward to staying here again...!

My husband and I decided to take a couple of days to relax since he had just gotten out of the hospital so I booked us a room at this hotel. Bad idea! The room had mold all in it. It was on the ceiling and on the couch in the room. The shower walls and behind every table in the room as well. Which wasn't a welcoming sight since my husband was in the hospital with respiratory issues. That next morning when we went for breakfast the sausage was under cooked and cold as were the eggs. Then we were really disappointed to see waffle stuff but got told that there would be no waffles that day. Disappointed enough that we didn't even go to breakfast the next morning. Also the pool was closed. We were told that was because they had to get someone from the state to come inspect it. Needless to say the whole stay was very disappointing. I would not recommend anyone staying at this location until they get it cleaned up more
Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront

Hotel location is quite good. Close to the beach. Go to the game and go directly to the boat. It is a round-trip ticket. Breakfast is delicious and not expensive. Asians should like it. In addition to parking, it is a little difficult. Other facilities are not bad.

The Hotel is need of a face lift. Smells old , old carpet. Trying to play off Full size beds for queen. I sell mattresses and I know the difference. Would not want to stay at that location again. Oh, 1-elevator it was very old. You should do better for that location. It’s reminded me of an Extended Stay place.

The exterior was as pictured. BUT, what wasn't noted is the groups of people sitting around the entrance smoking. The small lobby area smelled of urine and a homeless guy standing around. This is what a roach motel is as there were three in the room. The broken elevator meant we had to walk up the stairs where the emergency exit was propped open by a suitcase. The walk to the room, 216, had a variety of smells, including someone cooking. I got the impression that people use it as a live-in efficiency. The bed looked like a murphy bed, and the dated dresser was broken. The shower dripped the whole time, and the ac unit added to the dripping. The room smelled of mold, and the dirty bed had hair and stains on the pillow. The thin walls meat you heard every conversation in the hallway. If it wasn't late and we weren't tired, we would have left. The loan bright spots were the proximity to food and the one guy cleaning the parking lot around 8:30 the next morning. He was happy to check us out since the front desk didn't open until 9 (according to him). Given the horrible experience, we were not waiting around for anything. Worst hotel experience EVER.
