The Inn itself is lovely. It's located in a part of New Hampshire that is very quaint and picturesque. Nestled in between a ski mountain and cross country ski center, the Inn has small, comfortable rooms that look up towards the ski lifts. The rooms are modestly furnished but clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant is staffed by friendly employees who take the time to ask about your day and interests. For the money I paid to stay at this location, I'd recommend it for any couple on a journey to the White Mountains and aiming to keep within a budget as well.

We had a wonderful time, so close to Black Mountain, the restaurants nearby were amazing. The hotel staff was so kind, looking forward to visiting again soon.

If skiing Black Mountain, it’s ideal. The main building is attached to the parking lot for Black Mountain and the shovel handle pub; we were hoping to park, ski, eat dinner, and go to the room w/o having to drive anywhere. Unfortunately, the pub closed for a private event but we went to Tuckerman’s restaurant which was about 15 mins away and had a great meal. The main building appears historic; probably 17-1800’s. The rooms are a little rustic but everything appeared clean. Walls are pretty thin. I don’t regret staying here, kind of just wish I knew the restaurant was going to be closed.

We enjoyed our winter weekend getaway in the beautiful town of Jackson at this warm and cozy inn. The staff were friendly and the attached restaurant/bar made for a perfect après-ski experience. Highly recommend!

Lovely Stay in Jaspen
Great stay at Whitneys right at the Shovel Handle and Black Mountain! Great food and beautiful views! Nice little fire pits outside too.

Great Country Inn
We met friends there, and although we were rained out for skiing we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Shovel Handle Pub was great, and the live music was really great. We have already talked about going back.

I did another review before but felt the need to write a new one after a very pleasant stay this past Saturday. The check in staff at the front desk was pleasant and friendly! The room was so quaint, clean & very inviting! My husband and I enjoyed our stay and we’ll stay again ! Thank you for a pleasant mini getaway ❤️❤️❤️
