The Fairview Inn looks great online but in person is a different experience altogether. This sprawling inn features every conceivable decor style imaginable - a hodgepodge so cluttered, tasteless and disjointed. If they hired a professional decorator who did the place from stem to stern with a vintage theme that complements the exterior, this would be a showplace. The reception area is a small office that is anything but welcoming. It too is cluttered, even with a cat or dog carrier in the shelf. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Bathroom fixtures were improperly installed, with the vanity mirror about to fall off the wall.

What an absolute gem! We could not have loved the Fairview Inn more. The property, inviting our room, was exquisite, the hospitality warm and embracing, the breakfasts delicious. The Inn is at once elegant and comfortable, sophisticated and unpretentious. Could not recommend more highly!

We hosted a Rehearsal Dinner here. Everything was beautiful and well executed. The Ribeyes were cooked perfectly as was the fish. We received so many compliments on the food from our guests. “Excellent appetizers” was another comment received. I highly recommend the Fairview Inn for your special event planning!

It is the greatest place to stay I've experienced in all my travels including internationally. I feel like I'm home it's so comfortable and all the people there are so friendly and helpful. I am especially grateful for Emily and all she has done to help me with reservations and making my stay there exceptional.

A family medical situation brought me to the Fairview Inn. I was able make reservation last minute. The staff and owners of Fairview welcomed me, facilitated with local needs I had. The Fairview had accessibility to everyday items without the hassle, I could get water, soft drinks, fruit, homemade pound cake🙌🏻. All bed and bath necessities felt luxurious. The Library was great. Thank you again to the Fairview for helping at a difficult time.

We visited a number of distinguished southern mansions on our trip to the Deep South, but few offered the opportunity for a sleepover like the Fairview Inn. Our room was located in a modern annex, which was conveniently linked to the historic mansion. The annex has been added quite sensitively, providing plenty of rooms without impacting upon the historic grandeur of the original mansion. Our room was unrestrained in its Classical styling, although the effect was more Caesar’s Palace than Colonial revival. Still, the room was very large, clean and in good condition and we came to quite enjoy the over-the-top décor. The Inn has an excellent bar and restaurant, with a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. We didn’t encounter any better options in Jackson and, in any event, why travel when you have such a lovely place to dine just steps from your room? The Inn is located in a very pleasant residential area, with easy access to the attractions of Jackson.

Well let me tell you this was a sheer delight. Beautiful building, lovely room, competent and friendly staff. Good bar and food, not to mention the garden. A real little gem of a hotel and such amazing value. I would highly recommend a stay here

This is one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. The suite was huge, the restaurant excellent, and the staff bent over backward to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Couldn’t be better.
