Love love love this hotel! I work nearby but live over 2 hours away and book here every week

So I always stay here when I come to Jackson. I've done great reviews in the past. Well today I am reconsidering staying here again. First the clerk was irritated . I think he was tired but doesn't matter u still need to have a personality. Got to the room, looked at bed and saw hair particles on corners of bed and other bed the sheets were dirty. I was so tired from traveling and decided to speak with management. Same guy from check in was present. I showed him my pics and his reply was " i know they don't change bedskirts on the beds" I replied this is unacceptable and this should be changed between guest and he stands and look like a deer In headlights. He did give me a new room but I'm concerned about practice. Super concerned this is the mentality of how they respond. So needless to say not sure I would stay again.

Nice and big room, fresh bathroom. We were three guys staying in a room with two doublebeds. Really nice women in the reception and breakfast. All nice and clean and very quiet area. Close to shop and restaurants. Couldnt ask for more.

This hotel has a severe bed bug infestation. I was waken up out of my sleep to discomfort and itchy skin. I turned the lights on to observe the bed, I found bed bugs were crawling all over the pillows and the sheet in visible view to see. I waited for the manager who was supposed to arrive at 7 am, he did not arrive until 8 am. After explaining to manager that my room(111) had bed bugs, he looked unconcerned about my complaint. I offered to show him pictures I took of the bugs crawling on the pillows and my bites

Pros.... the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Friendly and made you feel welcome. Any issues that I had they responded quickly. They had breakfast, small selection, but it was hot and fresh. Property is close to interstate, shops, and restaurants. Short walk across the street to IHOP and next door on either side is a gas station and Chili’s. So if you’re not looking to travel far for food or gas....you’re good to go. Cons..... the first room they gave me had no TV, no shade on the lamp, sheets and pillow cases were dirty. ( Had no problem switching rooms when I went to front desk). Second room was better, minus the shower never got hot, cant even say the water was like warm. If you are one that likes to take cold showers, you would have been happy. The towels were dirty, dingy, and had human hairs on them. The sink filled with water when using and drained VERY SLOWLY. Called front desk and they rectified that problem quickly. But by next morning, it was draining slow again. The building needs an overall update. Fresh paint, cleaner carpets, side door to building does not close properly ( security issue) ANYONE can gain access through that door at ANY TIME OF DAY OR NITE.
