RITA Izumi-Fumoto opened in June 2022 as the first accommodation facility in Izumi Fumoto.
A samurai residence hotel consisting of three buildings and six rooms, renovated from a samurai residence that is over 100 years old.
You can get a glimpse into the ""half-farmer, half-samurai"" lifestyle of the Satsuma samurai, who worked hard at farming while continuing their training as samurai. The charm of the hotel is that it allows you to feel the atmosphere of the past by preserving not only the original design of the building, but also the damage and traces that occurred as people lived their lives and passed over the years as a history.
Each guest room is a private space equipped with a bathroom and toilet. In addition to valuable old furniture such as chests and chests that were cherished by the former family members, the furnishings include traditional crafts that were once the samurai's side jobs. Although it may be inconvenient, we want you to enjoy your stay to the fullest, so we have deliberately not provided televisions or clocks.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. My mother and me went to see the cranes at 6am in the morning, and felt such calm in their presence and in this wonderfully renovated house with such a presence of its history. Wandering around the area and tiny stores, eating the tastiest Soba at Gusho-an next door, we left Izumi with a heavy heart and a desire to come back again to spend more time in such a calming place. Everything was excellent, and of such high care at your wonderful guest house. Wishing you well, and please take care, X & W

Excellence experience staying at samurai house. We booked a room where they converted the old kitchen into rooms. The host make sure we were comfortable and served us tea when we arrived. Breakfast is included but is in another building. Definitely a unique experience.

歴史ある建物をオシャレで快適にリフォームされていてのんびりできました。 部屋の欄間、床の間、部屋を囲んでいる廊下など今の建物には見ることのできない作りの中で非日常を堪能できました。 日本庭園も落ち着きます。

寒波の時期でしたが各お部屋にはエアコンプラス石油ファンヒーターを置いてくださったり、布団に電気毛布を入れて下さった事が嬉しかったです トイレ脱衣所も暖房置いてくれてました ですがやはり昔の家は寒いです笑 底冷えします 以前昔ながらの日本家屋に住んでいたので、覚悟はしていましたが室内用上着を持って行ってよかったです 良かったところ .お庭が美しいです 室内からぼんやりみていると猫や鳥がきたりしてのんびりした気持ちになれました 昼もですが夜もライトアップされて綺麗でした。夜は室内はガラスが反射されるので外で見た方が寒いですけど良かったです .お風呂のヒノキの香りが脱衣所まで広がって心地よかったです .室内も昔の雰囲気は残しつつもリフォームされていて綺麗で使いやすかったです .受付の方も他のスタッフの方もとても丁寧に対応してくれました 悪いところは強いて言えば部屋のらんまや脱衣所の上の方の蜘蛛の巣まではいきませんが蜘蛛の糸が少しはっていたのが気になったくらいです 家族は気づいていませんし、私は隅々まで見てしまうほうなので あとお風呂のタイルがだいぶ冷たいです笑 全体的には良い体験をさせていただきました 良いシーズンに来たらもっと良かっただろうなと思います 他の地域のRITAも行ってみたくなりました

武家屋敷の趣深いつくりと、部屋の中の展示品が雰囲気があってとても素敵な宿でした。 宿泊した紅(AKANE)は屋内に檜風呂があり、部屋の中でゆったり過ごせました。冬場の夜はだいぶ冷えるので寒さ対策は必要です。 徒歩で回れる周辺の武家屋敷散策も楽しく、近くのお店で使えるクーポンもご案内いただけます。

泊まったのは農というかつての台所を改装した部屋でしたが、古い流しやかまどが残されていて古民家の雰囲気をたっぷり楽しめました。居室のほうは現代的なリフォームがされていてとても快適です。至る所に石油ストーブが設置されていて寒さへの配慮も十分でした。朝食会場の古民家レストランへは徒歩10分くらいですが、途中の街並みが素晴らしく、歩いて行くのはむしろたのしみでした。スタッフの方も感じが良く、ぜひまた利用したいです。

玄関の鍵が少し閉めにくかった点と枕が高かったのでもう少し低かったら良かったなと思ったので。気温が低い日だったので温かいお茶があったら有り難かったです
