The lights in the hallway were not on even though there were guests, so I had to turn on a flashlight to go to the shared toilet at night. I wish they would have at least turned on the lights on the floors where there were guests.

Breakfast was homemade by the landlady, and both Japanese and Western side dishes were delicious.
(The homemade jam was especially delicious, and I ended up having to refill it even though I was full.)
Since I used it on a weekday Monday, I was able to enjoy a leisurely soak in the 6th floor hot spring bath, which was reserved for me both in the evening and the next morning.
There were several delicious-looking restaurants around Iwaki-Yumoto Station, so I didn't have any trouble finding dinner.
There is a hot spring shrine and footbath nearby, so even after checking out, I soaked up the hot springs.

This is a hot spring inn with a retro Showa era atmosphere. There is no dinner, only breakfast. This is surprisingly convenient. It's close to the station, so you can choose from a variety of meals. It's good for young people who want to eat what they like, and it's also good for elderly people who find the food at hot spring hotels too heavy. The breakfast is homemade and delicious by the landlady. The bath on the top floor offers a view of the hot spring town. Everyone at the hostel is kind. The price is reasonable and the cost performance is the best. The room was well cleaned. There is a library where you can read your favorite books. There were also children's books.

I stayed at the hotel with the "light breakfast plan", but I was deceived. It was not light at all. I could choose between rice and bread for my staple food, but after eating rice and homemade butterbur miso, I started with bread and homemade jam. In other words, I could choose either rice or bread. With soup, salad, sausages, eggs (fried eggs/scrambled eggs), and dessert, it's not light! I was a little worried, so I avoided "special offer", but it might not be a problem. Dinner is not provided, so I went to a nearby restaurant. I won't mention the name, but the nearby izakaya doesn't seem to serve local products, so if you're looking for that, it might be better to stay near the station. The facilities are old, but I think they've made it work. Please make use of the free massage machine on the second floor. Payment is made at check-in.
