Iwaki Shinmaiko Heights

I made a reservation based on the information that they have bicycle rentals and rooms with hot springs. This time, I stayed in the "Chidori" room with hot springs. The room is a little small, but it's fine for two people. It's a riverside room with a large south-facing window, and you can see the Shioyazaki Lighthouse very well. On the other hand, I was worried that I would be completely visible from the outside... (There are roller curtains.) The bathtub in the room is small, only 90cm square on the inside, but it's a room with hot springs at this price. There is also a washing area. I was surprised to see someone on the roof on the 4th floor while I was bathing! I also went to the large public bath, but since it was a Sunday evening, there were a lot of people in the men's bath, probably because they were day-trippers... I quickly left and relaxed in the bath in my room, reading a book with a drink in hand. Since it was on the 5th floor, I could take a bath while looking at the sea. The water quality was good. The meal was an "affordable plan," but the amount was just right for us in our 60s. Breakfast was a buffet. Bicycle rentals start at 9:00, but when I asked the front desk, they said it was OK from around 8:00, so I was able to rent one early. (From March 2011, it's 1,000 yen for 3 hours, or 2,000 yen for a day!) I rode from the hotel to Misaki Park (climbing Iwaki Marine Tower) to Shioyazaki Lighthouse (climbing), and it took 2 hours and 40 minutes.
