"My brother and me had a terrific stay in the beautiful setting. The drive up the mountain on a tiny road is well worth it. The hostess is so friendly and wonderful, and was so hospitable.  She explained the food dishes that were served using Google translate. The food was amazing, so varied and included local specialties: Trout, fried moth larvae, black moss that grows on rocks ( local delicatessen), wild hog soup, deer sashimi, etc. We experienced the finest Japanese food and hospitality. Traditional bedroom with tatami mats and access to the unsen were added amenities. Thank you for the memorable experience! Laurent"

"Even in Hitoyoshi, a small town with a population of 30,000, Sagara Onsen Priority, located on the outskirts of Hitoyoshi, helps you feel the sensibility of a small Japanese city with your whole body. Friendly host, quiet and clean nature, cost-effective and spacious room, hot springs where you can see the stars at night. If you only want to have fantasy about Japan, I recommend visiting this place. I stayed for 2 nights as a rare Korean, and it feels like locals are visiting by hanging up their regular tickets. However, it is a bit unfortunate that the 24-hour convenience store is 40 minutes walk one way away from the city. You'll have to be thoroughly prepared in advance so that you don't have enough food."

"What a great experience! Very glad we spend one night at this unique place. The staff was extremely helpfull and kind. The rooms are very decent, considering it's an old sleeper train. Just keep in mind the rooms are quite narrow so there is not a lot of space to keep luggage in the room. And the other facilities (bathroom, common rooom) are not abundant, but clean and very much so sufficient for spending a night."

"宿泊部屋入口に歓迎の札があったのがとても嬉しかったです。 お部屋には浴衣と足袋、外履き用に雪駄が用意されていて、旅館へ来た気分を味わえました。 素泊まりで宿泊しましたが、部屋に入るとお茶菓子が置いてあり、とても美味しかったです。 また急須や湯呑み、床の間のような空間や座椅子があり、和室好きにはたまらないお部屋でした。 宿泊部屋から大浴場へ向かう場合は1度外に出なければならないため、真冬は少し寒いかもしれません。 送迎して頂けることを知らず、人吉駅から徒歩で施設まで行きましたが自家用車か送迎が必須の場所です。 周囲にコンビニはありません。 対応してくださった従業員の方々が皆さん親切でとても楽しく過ごせました。また行きたいです。 静かな場所で過ごしたい方にはおすすめです。"
