This ryokan is small, clean and lovely and warm. Our room (Oshima Room) was large with new tatami mats and lovely comfortable futons. The breakfast included in the room rate was delicious and home cooked in the traditional Japanese way. There are two bathhouses and we used them both on our two night stay. They are both clean and well maintained and you book them for private use. Close to supermarket and restaurants, it is walking distance t the Izu-Kogen railway station. The hosts were friendly and drove us to the start of the Jogasaki Coast Walk and Mt Omaru. Would definitely stay here again. There are many attractions in the area

Location is very convenient if you have a car, it's about 10 minutes to the nearest train station, 5 minutes to the convenience store, 15 minutes or so to the supermarket, 10 minutes to Granpal Park and Izu Cactus Park. If you like walks or hiking, there are two lakes within walking distance with trails. I would advise staying here only if the price is right. The hotel charges per person and I wouldn't recommend paying over ten thousand yen per room per night maximum.
