Great place. Super host! It was unexpected to meet someone with such perfect English in a Japanese village. He told us everything and showed us around! He was very polite and friendly. In the morning, he even drove us to the train station, for which we’re especially grateful. At this ryokan, you fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere, yet there’s also air conditioning. Another big plus is that they allow guests with tattoos. The hot spring offers a beautiful view! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an experience we had! It was really fantastic! They provide a good service and do everything so well, that you want to continue your stay there! When we came into the room, there was a table laid with tea and Japanese desert mocha for two people. I appreciate for that! The Japanese kaiseki dinner was up to my taste, but not all the food as I could not recognise the taste of some and I simply didn’t like it. My daughter doesn’t like fish, so she could taste only a few dishes. She liked rice (how good it was cooked). A wonderful sunset and a wonderful sunrise is way I intended to see! I did! It was amazing! Photos attached. Try to see it, too! The breakfast was also with fish. As for me, it was tasty. My daughter found it not to her taste. Onsen was relaxing and very good to visit! Worthy! They drove us to the station after our stay at the hotel. I appreciate the hotel for the accommodation and service! I recommend this hotel, but I would come hear earlier to spend more time in ryokan!

One of the best hotels stayed. Excellent Japanese cuisine included two meals a day with various Japanese dish. Hotel staffs are extremely friendly. The onsen on the mountain top is a must try.

Very nice ryokan, onsen is amazing, room onsen tab is also very convenient. Yukata was very warm and pretty. Food was delicious. Little funicular is just so cute. We liked our stay a lot. Recommend to everyone

It was the first time, that I've been in a traditional Japanese Hotel, but it was an amazing experience. We booked the room with dinner and breakfast included. Very tasty food, extremely polite staff. The open-air onsen was beyond expectations. When we arrived it was raining, so the feeling of hot water and the droplets on your face made it even better. If I ever come back to Japan - this will be my must-stop.

The onsen was ok, but it looks like it had better times. I understand that It' old but it's not seems that it could be maintained a bit better. The water from the potter for tea was also strange for me. The taste of the water was a taste of tap water, maybe it is a local thing, I'm not sure but still it was not my cup of tea. The bathes is ok, but nothing special. I would say, I'm my personal opinion, that this accommodation is a bit costly for these services. Perhaps, it was just not for me.

I enjoyed staying in this ryokan but we got unlucky with our maid. Description of the situation which disappointed me during my stay: I ordered chef’s dinner and during check-in procedure I selected an option of having dinner at 6:30 pm. But our maid brought dinner much earlier - at 5:40 pm when my partner was still having time in onsen. The maid approved that she had messed with time, so I thought she had also messed with the room and she would bring us our dinner later. But what was my surprise was when at designated time (6:30 pm) she served us that exact dinner… of course most of the dishes were cold. This kind of ruined my experience... Still, I must mark out some positive points. The owner of Yokikan welcomed us at the check-in and guided us through his ryokan by himself. We really enjoyed his tour. Also he drove us back to the railway station next day. I’m grateful for the excellent service he provides to guests. Also I really enjoyed staying at the open-air bath at the top floor. All in all, I would still recommend staying in this ryokan while in Ito. I was just unlucky with the service provided by the maid at my floor

I would say it a very pleasant choice to stay in this hotel (includes dinner, breakfast and free onsen). Their service is the best in all hotels I have stayed before (helped you set up your bed, deliver your food to your room and most importantly, call us a free ride to send us back to the Ito station. The service is very warm and polite.

Amazing stay! Very polite and friendly staff, the owner even picked us up and drove to the station. The hot springs are indeed "hot", especially loved the bath on the rooftop. Very clean and nice room, tasty dinner. Must try if you are visiting Ito!
