Hotel Ravie Kawaryo

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel really pissed me off. I understand the price hikes due to the large number of travelers during the summer vacation; the prices are already double what they normally would be. But why are so many hotels in Japan only allowing single guests? If it's for two people, they'd specify a double room. So, should I, with my child, have a separate room? When I got to the hotel, they told me the same price for the child. So, the original price was almost 1,500, and with an extra child, it was 1,500 more, making it 3,000 per room? And they wouldn't even check out or offer a discount. Please, if you'd listed it as 3,000 per room, I'd just book a luxury hotel! They lure me in with a low price, then tell me it's doubled upon arrival—isn't that a complete rip-off?! It was so unfortunate, late at night, and raining, and in a foreign country, I couldn't stay in a hotel (only one person was allowed). It was disgusting! And the sign gave me a rather unpleasant vibe. The facilities were dated, and I even saw someone claiming it was the former residence of a Japanese tycoon...! The scenery in Izu is very beautiful, but this time when I came to Japan, I really disliked the fact that the Japanese have not improved their foreign language skills for so many years, and their vague and misleading consumption behavior. I will never come here unless necessary!

There was no parking fee, and the receptionist came to the parking lot to greet us. Check-in was also smooth and we were very satisfied. The toilet and bathroom were separate, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, and was delicious.

The room is large, and it's within a 10-minute walk from Riyi East Railway Station, so transportation is convenient. Dinner is quite rich, breakfast is just average. Overall good value for money.
