Umiganiwa Minatoya

This is my third time staying here, and I always stay here when I travel to Shizuoka. The price of the accommodation varies depending on the course of the meal, but even the best course is around 30,000 yen, so it's reasonable. The rice is also very delicious, the boiled golden eye fish is sweetly seasoned and rich and delicious, and the abalone is salted and cleaned before being grilled in front of you, and it's very soft, so you can bite into it without any worries. There is a variety of sashimi, but it was about the size of a small sea bream, and it was delicious because it was cut into pieces with the skin on and quickly boiled. They often serve deep-fried rockfish, but this is also very delicious. They make it so crispy that you can eat the head and bones, and it is very delicious. The other day they also had clam soup, which had a lot of broth and was very delicious. The amount is also very filling. If you can't finish the boiled goldeye, they ask them to warm it up and bring it to you for breakfast the next day. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the room, but there is also a separate room on the first floor. The building is not new, so it is not clean, but it is clean and well-cleaned in every corner. You have to go down a little from the main road and pass between private houses, so you may get lost if you don't put the location properly on the navigation system. But think of it as an entrance to an extraordinary world. The sea is really in front of you, there are cliffs on both sides, and it is nice to wake up in the morning to a quiet and refreshing extraordinary world! You can walk on the cliff on the right, and it's a great spot with a 180-degree view of the ocean, nature, the rocky mountains, and islands such as Oshima. The morning sun is also great, and in May it rises from the rocky mountains on the left side of the inn's window, so if the weather is good, you can go outside the inn (to the right) just after 4am and take a good photo of the ocean on the left or the sun rising from the rocky mountains. There is a cypress bath on the second floor, a slightly larger observation bath on the fourth floor, and a bath on the first floor as well. The hot spring water is at a good temperature and is well cleaned. You basically have to climb stairs, so it may be a little difficult to take people who have difficulty walking on their own. I took my mother, who has a bit of trouble walking, to the zoo in a wheelchair, but the inn helped her slowly go up and down the stairs, and there are handrails. We visited as a group of 10 people, and we rented out two rooms on the second floor. Although we had five children with us, it was easy to spend time without worrying about the people around us. The rooms are on the second and third floors, so there are not many groups staying, so you can spend your time relaxing in private. There are sightseeing boats, souvenir shops, Shaboten Park (zoo), Grand Pal Park (amusement park, illuminated at night), Omuroyama lift, and other zoos and museums nearby, so it is convenient and you can enjoy a lot. The staff are also friendly and polite. They give you a small discount every time you use the facility. I think the discount was something like the number of adults x some percentage. The sea in front of you is not a sandy beach but rocks and stones, so it looks like a diving spot, and there is a diving shop. There are many people fishing. I would definitely like to use it again.
