Tango Arjaan by Rotana

Asian Side Istanbul|1.74km from Maltepe Railway Station
Last Saturday September 4 we wanted to sleep at Tango Arjaan of the Rotana chain. We have regularly been guests there and at Burgu Arjaan. This time the reception, hospitality and customer-friendliness were downright bad. So bad that I think it's important to let you know about it. At check-in I handed over my American Express card to make the payment. After a few unsuccessful attempts I gave my Visa card. That didn't go well either. Due to the receptionist's ignorance, I now had 4 reservations on my card. Then she wanted me to pay cash as well. I showed her the reservations, but she thought that was no proof. Next to me was another guest with the same problem. I called Visa. They gave me the authorization codes, which Visa said she could use to check. She refused. I asked about her chef, whereby she labeled the doorman as chef, who obviously couldn't help us either. The most annoying thing is that my wife is Turkish and she could literally follow what she was saying about us. That was downright rude and antisocial. She was tired of helping us, she told her colleague that we could leave, but in other words which even are not possible to post, and so on… If she had worked for me, I would have fired her on the spot, as well as her so-called boss. We also had a Turkish guest with us. He could also follow literally everything. In short, it made us decide to pack our things and leave. Unfortunately we have decided not to use this location anymore. Too bad because we stay in Istanbul a lot and have business connections with Maltepe, where the hotel is close by. A terrible experience and no hospitality.

The location was very central but there is almost no place to park nearby. We had to park our car in small streets. Other than that it was quiet in the nights and lively in the day time.

When I entered the room they tucked the quilt in the closet and it's RUN !! Definitely not like in the pictures. They didn't even ventilate the room. I went downstairs and requested a refund, Mr. Nuri at the reception said you used the room. How could I have used the room that I couldn't stop for a minute? Am I an astrologer, how can I see the state of the room without entering it? Although we talked with beauty, she made sentences like it's not my problem. Is there a need for this disgrace, if it really is as it seems, there is no problem anyway. He gave me another room, as if the gentleman was kind enough, he says, ”I changed your room as well, as if it wasn't for a payment.” It smells like cigarettes inside. I have asthma, how can I sleep in that room? I literally paid for the room that I couldn't breathe in and couldn't use for a minute. He could have returned it if he wanted to, but he casually said, ”It's not my problem, I gave you the room.” It's really like a joke. I definitely passed the recommendation, don't even stand in front of the door, I say. There is no such reception. There is something called consumer rights. Rude !!

We were looking for hotel with parking that not too far away from istanbul and this hotel meets the criteria since we can only return our car on the next day and istanbul's parking is very expensive. The hotel seems new - the room was comfortable and the staff at the lobby was very helpful. I only stayed for one night hence not looking for shops or restaurant nearby. If you are concern about eatery, you may want to do some checking first.

Staying again, the experience is very good, it is worth recommending ~ Breakfast styles are diverse to meet the needs of different tastes. It's a subway station when you go out, and the transportation is convenient. A 2-3 minute walk from the hotel to the supermarket, which is quite a big European chain brand in the local area. Location, transportation, and service are very satisfactory
