Best Hotels near Kumköy Cami, Istanbul

The hotel is original, located up the hill with the fantastic view. The hotel consist of several small houses which are rooms, located on the territory. We stayed in on of the standard house (standard room). In a good weather the hotel is great, but we stayed when the rain happend and it was cold outside (in January). I would recommend only for warm weather,because it was cold in the room and especially very cold in a bathroom. Staff is great and helpfull, breakfast was fantastic. The only one thing that is very cold and not comfortable in the room during the cold and rainy weather.

In the village, arriving in the early morning, the road from the entrance of the village to the hotel is terrible 😂😂, the service is ok, the breakfast is not recommended, it is rather pitted, and there is nothing. The location is acceptable, close to the airport, there is a shuttle bus

Vize görüşmesi için gitmiştim ve en yakın otel buydu. Bana uğurlu geldi ve vizemi aldım . Müşteriyi karşılamaları gayet içten ve güler yüzlüydüler. Kaldığım oda 1+1 suit deniz gören odaydı ve temizLiği olsun konforu olsun oldukça başarılıydı. Otele giriş saatinden bayağı bir süre sonra girmeme rağmen odanın kombisi yanıyordu ve çok üşüyen biri olarak bu beni çok memnun etti. Oda servisi güleryüzlü ve kibar. Akşam yemeğinden sonra girişyaptığım için çok açtım ve odaya restorantlarından yemek söyledim. İnanılmaz lezzetli ve büyük porsiyonlar. Fiyatları da gayet uygun . I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

It's a nice looking hotel, very clean with comfortable beds. There is daily cleaning free of charge. They have a fan and heating but not air conditioner but it was good for me because I stayed here during autumn time. No kettle inside the room but you can request hot water at the reception or use the kettle in the kitchen area at -1 floor. They have a laundry room, have to pay 20TL at the reception counter, they will give you detergent as well. The only issue with me was the thin walls, i could hear the neighbors snore loudly 😅 In terms of location, there are nice restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a small-medium sized mall nearby which is good. Bus stop is 3 minutes walking distance, but no metro station that is walking distance. Also no tourist attraction nearby annd it's quite far from taksim, but it was convenient for me to go places woth public transport. For the price it's worth it.

The staff of the hotel is very helpful and polite. The services from the Airport was very accurate. They send you clear information throughout your phone about any details that you need to know to reach out your transportation. I arrived very early at 6:30 am in the morning and they allowed me to do my check in; that way I could rest after my trip. Thank you so much to Mr Caffar and Mr Kadir for your good services. I am definitely will continue coming to this hotel.

I stayed here in February 2020 for 4 nights together with a friend. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the nearest sightseeing places located in the historic part of the city. Even nearer to the hotel there are groceryshops, bars, parks and restaurants. Keeping in mind the little money you pay for your stay, you can't really complain. Eventhough, I'd like to see some changes. Since the bathroom is really small, the whole bathroom actually is the shower. Everything gets wet, so there's not really a good place to leave your towel and cloths which you obviously want to keep dry. Maybe a few hooks or hanging baskets will be a good addition. There was 1 hook though, but it was very small and broken. (see picture of toilet, there a small cabinet next so the width is about 1,20 M en the same goes for the depth. The shower is on the right wall, infront of the cabinet) It also takes a very long time for the bathroom to dry. The water isn't stopped bij a small shower edge or something and theres nothing to wipe the water with, which left us with only one option: Shower in the evenings and leave the window in the bathroom open so it will be dry by the time it's morning. Not idealic at all, considering we where staying here during the winter. Also we had to share a socket during the night to charge our phones. It would be great if there were more of them. These are all small 'complaints' so it's not too bad. Especially for the money you pay. There's one thing left I'd like to warn you for: the sounds. The hotel is very noisy. You can hear other people very well and unfortunatly we had some people staying in the hotel that didn't take this into account. Because of the noisyness, you'll also be able to hear the mosques very loudly in the early mornings, so if you don't want to, bring some earplugs. Despite of the few negatives, I myself would stay here again and so would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap hotel near the old city centre.

Well, I booked online for our family of 5 members. They advised they have an apartment suitable for us. When I reached there, we found that the apartment is not in the main building, we have to climb long stairs Infront of the building, then go up a little hill, then go up again the stairs for 3 floors with all the luggage just to find out that the apartment has only one AC in the main room but the other one with the sofa and extra bed has no AC in August!!!! That was very very disappointing since it was never mentioned anywhere, neither that the apartment is in a separate building nor it is in a higher floor or not fully air-condionned but what happened next was what made us feel at home. Bora, the one at the reception, who confirmed my booking then did his best to try shuffling some rooms so we can fit in the main building but since me and the rest of the family were willing to stay together, I suggested to try one night and see if we could handle the heat or we will need to move to more than one room in the main building. At night we had a wonderful window view of the old town and Galata tower that I wouldn't give for any air-conditoned room :))) Despite the apartment was very small and we could barely move but it was really clean and it had everything we could need to feel home. The sound of seagulls woke us up in the morning and we slept watching the moonlight covering Galata Tower at night. A wonderful experience i wish to repeat, we were lucky because it was full moon. They always sent someone to clean and change the bed sheets and towels, and they did their best helping with the luggage up and down. The day of check out, they were very generous, they made a discount on the full amount as an apology we didn't know much about the apartment, and the owner offered us simit and cheese, a very traditional yet yummy Turkish breakfast. I loved the stay, what made it beautiful was the generosity of the staff, how welcoming they were, the cleanness of the place and the unforgettable view of the apartment, I will definitely go back
