3-Star Hotels in Istanbul

The hotel is small, but the level of service was fantastic. The the staff all spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. The room where clean, We had a balcony room with a lovely view of the street. The breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast. We enjoyed it. Specially the melon, feta and the cheese borek. It’s a few minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the Arasta bazaar and the Sultan Ahmet Park. I would book this hotel again.

It doesn't deserve even a one star. My room, apart from being very small, was very untidy; musquitos all over the place; humidified walls; the furniture demolished, the sheet ripped; the curtains were turned from white into brown because of the dust; very small and bad bathroom (so small, it was very uncomfortable to take care of physiological needs); not enough supply of essentials, extremely poor WiFi in my room; bad room isolation: from my room I could hear someone walking by in the corridor as if we were not seperated by walls. Bad costumer service. The recepsionist was very rude and not hospitable at all. The owner also, while I was asking him something, he kept laughing on his phone, rather than taking care of his clients. Very disappointed.

1. First of all, The staff is extremely friendly,helpful, respectful! I loved them all and they made the stay in this hotel so pleasant and comfortable. There was a mistake with my reservation but they changed it for me and did not charge extra and always helped with everything I asked them! 2. The location is perfect and beautiful. You can see Suktanahmet mosque from the terrace. 3. The breakfast is not bad but more than okay for this price -> terrace and the view is gorgeous anyway 4. The rooms are clean, quite new and neat. 5. Location is quite, beautiful and safe I forgot to take more pics, but do not worry. If you do not want to pay much money but want to have a nice holiday and going to be outside all day, then this hotel is more than good! Do not expect luxury. We had a change of itinerary which meant that the hotel we booked was not in the ideal location for us and meant lot of going back and forth and as we had not booked free cancellation were able to modify or cancel the booking. There are places to eat nearby and a nice high street for breakfast, food, restaurants but not any convenience stores. There is a nice promenade for a walk however its a bit of a mission to cross to the other side of the busy road due to the fence. So you have to walk over the manned bridge. From there its a 1.5hours walk to Sultanahmet. There is no hotel shuttle so the only other option to get to the main sights is by taxi. In the winter time its not as bad maybe 10 minutes to Sultanahmet and 20 minutes to Galata Tower. The hotel is actually pretty decent, clean, bar area with free biscuits, luggage area. I wasn't too keen on the requirement to insert your card in the lift to use it, it had us confused esp as no one told us. They serve nice range of food at decent prices. The room was big enough for a couple, with all the standard mod cons like kettle, shower, free WIFI and also had a convenient chair, desk and couch. It also had a free safe which was easy to use and enough storage area. Room was clean and found the bed pretty comfortable. The sea view was great, maybe a room higher up might have been better.

The service attitude is amiable, that is, the feeling is not very standard. There is no deposit for storing a baggage. I am afraid that I will find out who I am after I can’t find it! Fortunately, the room is clean and the area is not small. No toothbrush slippers, etc. The location is good, and it is quiet in the old town. It is a ten-minute walk to several famous attractions. It is very convenient to go back to lunch at noon and rest.

The disadvantage is that there are no slippers, no hot water bottle, toilet water, and some old facilities The advantage is that it is located in the bustling center, convenient, inexpensive, and the service is pretty good. Breakfast is also ok

Because it was our first time in Istanbul, we could not have asked for a better location however the hotel itself was absolutely HORRIBLE, and that is an understatement. We were placed in a room underground where there was not a single window to let in fresh air or see the sunlight. It made it incredibly difficult to wake up in the morning because it always felt like night time down there in the den. We were told their family rooms were all underground however it said NOTHING about that online because if it had, I can assure you I would have NEVER booked with them. There were two queen beds, one twin bed, and a couch leaving the room extremely crowded. We are a family of five, and there was only one small and narrow closet to hang up some of our belongings. My three children had to keep their things in the suitcases for the full two weeks we were there. The bathroom was a literal box, there was not even room to leave our toiletries in there on the counter or anywhere else. They always kept three bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. We are FIVE PEOPLE in the room so obviously that is not enough. I asked the conceded night concierge NUMEROUS times if he could give me an extra bottle or two and I was ignored EACH TIME. The young lady and the concierge who didn't speak a lot of English were extremely friendly which made the stay slightly more tolerable. The rooftop was nice but I am sure there are far nicer ones in Istanbul. We will surely NEVER be setting foot back to this hotel again.

Initially, I prefer small boutique hotels over large ones with international standards, it helps to immerse yourself in the local culture. Basileus hotel fully describes this type of place - vintage style decor make you feel like you are at grandma’s🤍 Btw, the hotel really surprised me with its low price for all amenities they provide! We’ve stayed for four nights,- cleaning was done every day, water was supplied free of charge. There is no elevator, but the kind receptionist helped us with our bags- many thanks to him🙏🏻 As for its location - it’s only in 10 mins from Hagia Sofia and other sightseeings; plenty of cozy restaurants and bars nearby.

The hotel is very close to the Sultanahmet square, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the room is really nice. (I stayed in a deluxe room and comment for this room) The design of the room is very useful and has a separate atmosphere. The morning breakfast is the spreading breakfast you know and it is very delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Only returned from this hotel, which was mistakenly infiltrated by the tour operator, confusing it with Orient Express 4*, but it is another debt story, so here only about this Orient 3*. Nasnu with pluses - the staff is very responsive, kind, thank them for everything, though a little bit decorated staying in this ”miracle,” and the second plus is wi-fi, in 11 days no complaint at work. Next minus: The location - Cherkizovsky market, noise, gamma, dirt, personality of criminal appearance on the streets, in the evening walking dangerous. (The familiar Istanbulans confirmed that Laleli was the most rapid area, but I will repeat that we were put there by mistake, we did not choose it). The rooms are old, small, in the bathroom door when opening is a push, there is no shower leek, only a tropical shower at a height of two meters. There are no drivers on the doors, clapping on the whole floor endless day until the evening, and from the passing and from the stupidity of the living. Furniture - the oldest and dirty, the refrigerators smell, to the word we were moved from one room in another because of the non-working TV and other cosies, so in the second room did not work the refrigerator, we dragged the refrigerator from another room, But there was no shelves, a stupid square box with a cooling effect, as you like and fold there food, we had one curtain on the window, which was completely unable to close it from the sun, the central air conditioner did not cool and heat, A stupid one temperature (as soon as they did not adjust - it is useless). Clining - none, with one twist, all floors are washed, from twist, not reacting to comments as they do not understand the language, only smile. The tweed has not been changed at all in 11 days, the towels are ”clean” through one dirty and unspacious. Breakfasts are uniform, with only edible eggs, fries, bread, jam and coffee.
