The good. *opening windows *water is hot but with limited pressure  *free drinking water on request *fridge that works, very old but keeps drinks cool *nice decent coffee mugs and kettle *back rooms quiet from street noise *linen not changed daily, towels were, room tidied each day, for cheap hotel was good service *bathroom clean but small light not working The bad. *the bed in Snapper room is extremely uncomfortable, not sure of other rooms, but you can feel the springs when laying on it. Probably most uncomfortable bed ever spent night on. If you have back problems avoid, easy fix is to purchase a proper bed topper. *some rooms extremely small, beware and read carefully which room you are in. *back rooms exposed to hotel straight opposite, need to sit in dark with blinds closed for privacy, put in sheer curtain! *step up to half bath/shower half a metre, not easy to get in and out safely. *noise travels straight thru between floors, could hear above snoring and every word spoken, take ear plugs!! *linen and towels have been used for years, thin and worn. All need replacing.  *ripped sheet on bed, housekeeping did not notice, we did, pointed out and promptly changed, big tick for management *there is a very bad sewer smell walking up stairs and in bathrooms. Understand its an old run down area but its not pleasant nor nice. All in all, not impressed at all and would in future will pay a little extra, move closer to centre and up hill, but if you have a low budget and happy for all its problems, its ok, just.

It’s hard to find it on your own, without the Internet. The locals won’t help. Even if you drew yourself a detailed map at home. Only after purchasing a local SIM card did I manage to get into it. The administrator is polite and English speaking. The cleanliness of the room is the same as in all mid-price hotels. The beds are comfortable and clean. Cold and hot water uninterrupted. But for drinking it is better to buy. WiFi without any complaints. Managed to work) Close to all attractions. You can pay in dollars and euros, but do NOT receive change in Turkish lira at the exchange rate. No living creatures were found) Poor sound insulation of windows. Nothing special for which you can pay 70€ per night. On the way back we will stay at a cheaper hotel. Overrated. For comparison
Gafa Garden Hostel & Apartments - Great Location

The pros the staff were nice. It has charge points and personal reading light by each bed. The location is great. The price is good. The lockers are ”bring your own padlock” but some of the lockers were broken. The cons There was a review from 4 months ago showing the room in pretty good condition but I was surprised to find how badly it had deteriorated since (march 2023). Room was in a horrible state of repair. The cleaners clearly haven't been around and the beds from previous guests who had checked out hadnt been cleaned, the next set of guests were given new towels and sheets and that's it. The rest of the room and toilets hasn't been cleaned. There were no light bulbs in the room (see my photos) so it was pitch black except for the bedside lights. bathroom was incredibly mouldy and the shower panels have come off so water floods everywhere when showering. Toilet shared with the 4 bunk beds but also several private rooms, so maybe 8 people using a single toilet per floor, can't access other toilets in other floors except the terrace. The kitchenette was under construction. There was an older man in his 70s staying in the dorm room, so not really a hostel vibe. The bunk bed was shaky, every movement can be felt from the bunk mate.
Sirkeci Grand Family Hotel & Spa

Just to share our experience - we were more families, with kids (some pretty small). We reserved on booking with free cancellation, but the money were withdraw well in advance to our trip. Not the initial conditions, but we were decided to go. The day of our reservation, we called and the reception told us there were no rooms for us available. They seemed to have a technical problem with the water.... After long talks on the phone they redirected us to another hotel, more distant to the main street and with other room configuration. E.g we paid for a 4 persons room and we got 3 persons rooms + a place in a different room. So, our suggestion is to pay attention, both to money taken in advance and to where you will end up sleeping.

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
I feel very happy about this hotel. The location is perfect to access tourist attractions. In five minutes by walk , you can see Blue mosque and Ayasofya. Many hotels and restaurants nearly, no fear to walk down night streets. Room condition also good. Clean & Water pressure strong, hot water Ok. Most impressive thing is the attitude of staff. Considerate,sensitive!... No words to express!! Make me wanna come here again. thanks again. Reasonable price also makes me happy If you wanna be looking for 5stars hotel, it isn’t good choice, but if you feel comfortable about cozy space, no more suitable places likes this.

The decoration is quite distinctive, the store is very warm, but the bathroom is not separated from wet and dry.
