Chillout Lya Hostel & Lounge

I booked a bed at the Chillout Lya hostel after I missed my flight. Price was cheap and it was my first time stayed at the hostel. Pretty good experience because they were so chill and cool people. Had a few beer with the receptionist guy. He said don't worry we all good people here. So my worries disappeared then slept well.

This hostel is value for money but I personally would not return. The location is very good. The laundry service was cheap and efficient. I was very cold in the private rooms and the bedding was not very good. The toilet seat was also taped together, with a piece of sellotape, which is not very hygienic. However, the rooms are very big and there was a desk and a small balcony. The Wi-Fi is really bad and works intermittently. It does not reach the rooms. We did complain but the staff did not do anything to help, except say it works for them. You get breakfast but it is not very nice. There is also not much choice an a lot of the fruit/vegetables are turning. Not a very social hostel and there were cameras, in the dorms. It is also very dark and does not have much lighting. They say they offer bag storage but they let you leave your bags in a public eating area, which is accessible to anyone.

Lively music basic hostel with hot shower clean linen and towel. Small bar .. centre of tow for any transport and airport bus connections. Been here a while and so convenient to see whole of İstanbul.. so happy with friendly staff. Bar prices great.
