1.5 years ago I was at the Genoa Hotel, I was relatively satisfied, the position of the hotel was very good, the breakfast was great, the cleaning lady did a great job. The fact that the rooms are small, more or less like a sleeping box, a bathroom and a toilet separated by a glass panel where when you go to the toilet everyone in the room knows what you are doing, is already a thing you only see when you get there. The problem is the current situation, the hotel is practically empty, savings are made at every step. For breakfast you get a plate with some nonsense (see picture), some vegetables that who knows how long it stays in the fridge, you can also order scrambled eggs. Juice does not exist, only water. Tea and coffee are so diluted that it cannot be drunk. I have to admit, that guy who brings it all to you (because of Corona you have a private waiter) is very nice and tries, but simply someone did it so that even a wizard would not make a pleasant breakfast out of it. When you arrive at the reception you fill in some paperwork, among other things, whether you want to give you a clean room every day. If you say you want to, it means they'll get you clean towels and they'll throw out the trash. Nobody makes the beds, maybe it's not fashionable anymore, I don't know, but wherever I've been, the cleaning lady made the bed every day. It wasn't until the third day that I realized that this hotel didn't have a cleaning lady, but the guy who was the waiter at 11 o'clock changed the towels in the rooms. You have a stove in the room, but there are no cups to pour coffee or tea, I asked them to bring them to me for three days, and in the end I brought glasses from the restaurant. The air conditioning is in the central hotel, you can't do anything with it, whether it's blowing or not. If it's hot, and now it's still, you can close the window and turn on the air conditioning, you're sick tomorrow or leave the window open, every ten minutes someone yells or a car passes, there's no sleep, you're sick again. What can I say, the hotel staff is really friendly, the hotel is in a good location for a low price. Unfortunately, the hotel owner seems to be waiting for better times and who knows when they will come, if they come. I'm sorry to write such a critical review, but the current situation is like that.
