Sura Design Hotel & Suites Istanbul Reviews

We booked the most basic room at Sura Design Hotels however we’re given an upgrade by Burek on reception. We had booked for four nights initially and we were so happy with the hotel that we extended our stay another three nights. When we asked if we could have another upgrade the response was of course, we have done this automatically. Since we were in Istanbul for a total of two weeks it was wonderful to find a hotel that felt like “home.” And that had a lot to do with the fact their sister property is across a narrow road so each morning we went there for a gym workout then breakfast. Big shoutout to the delightful Ahmet who looked after us in the breakfast restaurant,

Location is very good and near Hagia Sophia. The staff is very helpful and help us book the taxi to airport. We have wonderful holiday here and will try to visit and stay at this hotel.

Good one to stay

The person at the front desk was very kind. They carefully explained recommended sightseeing spots in Istanbul, how to get around, etc. while understanding our intentions. In addition, it is within walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the underground palace, making it an excellent location.

It's not a negative review for the hotel, it's a negative review for Ctrip. I booked this hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that there was no reservation. I contacted Ctrip for more than half an hour to no avail. I negotiated with the hotel again and was inexplicably told that I had been assigned a room in another hotel. It was extremely small. If the bathroom door opened and hit the toilet, Ctrip would not be held responsible.

It was the best location. The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are within walking distance, and it is possible to return to the hotel and take a rest in the middle of sightseeing. The breakfast was also delicious in a buffet style. However, it was a little disappointing that the cup that was placed was a little dirty and that there was no toothbrush. This may be the case overseas. The bed was quite soft and very comfortable. There are many restaurants around the hotel so you don't have to worry about finding a place to eat. I took a spa at the hotel, but it was the best with polite customer service even though I made a reservation on the day. I want to stay here again.

Good hotel in the most touristy place. Quick cleaning, decent breakfast, friendly staff) I was satisfied, I think I'll be back again

Excellent location, warm service, recommended!

Very nice hotel, everything was great, but unfortunately I got the wrong room, reserved the loft and paid for it, but got a classic room. The front desk didn't even try to fix it. My agency trip should be the mistake. Enachdwm My agency arranged that, my room was changed and I got the same room again, just 2 doors down 😡. But my reserved and paid room unfortunately not. That's why ed deducts points. Otherwise everything was fine

Our second stay with Sura was another great experience. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. The location also can’t be beat!

Location of property is excellent but everything else sucks, our room carpet was filthy dirty, between blackened carpet to spills on carpet which were not cleaned, felt room was very unhygienic, brought it to front desk attention to get it clean before next guest arrives, room service terrible ask for ice their ice machine was broken, I have seen better motel 6 then this 5 star hotel,

We were originally put into a room where there was constantly loud music being played from the outside restaurants but then was offered an upgrade for £60 where it was a lot more quieter and a lot bigger room. Happily took it as we were there for 5 days. The location is perfect and centralised to everything, the metro was a 2 minute walk along with grand bazar only being a 10 minute walk. Staff were all friendly and were happy to help whenever needed. The breakfast was lovely in sura design, which is a bonus as you have the opportunity to either go to Sura design or sura Hagia Sophia.

Our first visit to Istanbul and we spent 5 nights at this fabulous, centrally located hotel. Well looked after by the staff, esp. Burak, Òzay and Aden, who really went out of their way to answer our queries, arrange outings and in general, make our visit a real pleasure. Thank you. Btw the buffet breakfast is EXCELLENT!
