Один большой плюс это удобный матрас на кровати. Больше плюсов нет. При заселении я расплакалась от грустного вида номера. Фото, которые на сайте размещены, не соответствуют действительности. Номер стандарт никак не 18 м. Завтрак очень скудный, несъедобные пластиковые овощи и колбаса. Можно есть только омлет и сыр.
В ванной комнате отломанные крючки и дверца в душевой. Когда при заселении сказали мужчине на ресепшен, что в ванной поломка, он ответил, что вы въехали в 3 звезды. И что здесь проживают англичане и не жалуются)) За все время видели только пакистанцев, балийцев и турков. Хотя этот же мужчина по нашей просьбе успокоил ночью шумных соседей, которые по виду напоминали цыган)) Спасибо ему за это большое!
Хозяин отеля очень приветливый человек, но это никак не влияет на ухоженность отеля.
И ещё один большой минус в том, что за 5 дней проживания 2 дня не было горячей воды! Но это проблема района, где размещен отель.

I dont recommend Germenicia hotel. The manager was rude and unprofessional. I had to leave and found a new hotel. There were 2 main issues. 1. The room assigned to me was smaller than the one I booked for 5 nights. I told them that is not correct to do this. I politely made the deal with them that I only put up with this for one night. They must provide me with the room I booked the next day. 2. The second issue is in the small room. The water evacuation in the shower was blocked. There was disagreement, and the manager was impolite by threatening me to leave and find a new hotel. First, with the problem of the water evacuation system blocked, I went to request to change the room. We all knew that that was a room available, but we agreed to fix the water system first. If it has not worked, we agreed to change the room. Once, they started to put toxic and smelly chemicals unblock the water evacuation. The smell and toxicity were all over the room. Then I mentioned that it even works, I refuse to stay in this small room - no system to evaculate the toxic air (we could not open the window. It is only possible to open 10 cm (it was blocked by the mattress and everything in the tiny space). The manager was rude, saying if "you don't wait and despite the toxic air situation, go find another hotel." The manner that he didn't care about the guest and the toxicity that may cause. He has no respect for me as a person, I left the hotel and booked another hotel. It was a painful experience, and I am claiming to Agoda for the refund. I dont recommend this place at all for anyone.

Single room is exactly as shown in the display photo, the bed with pillows and other things are old but adequate, the place is clean and tidy, all the staff and cleaners are kind also helpful, the location is close to Kumkapi tram station ( 5min. walking) which goes to Yenikapi and others also buses, the other sides can go to Laleli, Beyazıt, Sultan Ahmed…etc and can walk or tack a tram. So much restaurants around the hotel with music and fun. The breakfast place is small but was enough to hotel guests. The breakfast is similar everyday but varied and delicious, tee & coffee machine available and so in the room a kettle is there. The fridge was’t working, although i didn’t need it but I reported that and maybe they fixed it now. As long as i was in my room i had never feel hot because of the fantastic air condition. I’m so satisfied and recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel twice with my girlfriend. W arrived from Norway. The first time for one week in January 2023 and second time in 15 days from 29.03 to 14.04. We recommend the hotel to other travellers. We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The staff are very friendly. The room was comfortable with room service every day. The breakfast had enough variation. You could walk along the sea 30 min to get to Bazar and Taqsim if u like walking. You can also walk 15 min to sultanahmet mosque and so take a tram to anywhere else. I stayed two times at Germenicia hotel in Istanbul which is near Sultanahmet mosque in Fatih district. The first time was in January for one week and second time we stayed 15 days at this hotel from 29.03 to 13.04. The staff are extremly helpful and friendly. The room we got was very comfortable. The breakfast had good variation you could choose from. You could take a walk along the sea in about 30 min to get to Bazar and Taqsim if u enjoy walking. You can also take a 15 min walk to Sultanahmet mosque where u can take tram to anywhere in Istanbul. We recommend the hotel strongly and we will be going to the same hotel in future too.

Very friendly stuff (especially Murat, Erhan, they are the best). They helped us with the boat city tour and organised the whole hamam experience. Would definitely recommend. The hotel is close to the city centre and many of the Istanbul attractions.
