Booked Perapolis in February, 3 months prior to our holiday. Arrived in Istanbul on May 13th 2022 with 4 exhausted children after an early morning flight to find that the hotel that we had paid for didn't have any rooms for us. They hadn't completed the booking and had booked the room out to someone else having taken our money. The hotel owner found us apartment rooms belonging to some of his friend's in the neighbourhood. These were in poor condition so I refused to accept them. He then found us a room in the hotel opposite, again belonging to his friend. This room turned out to be cramped, smelly and start leaking water from the ceiling during the night. They then found us another room in a hotel which while better didn't have enough beds for us. This was an absurd experience, lugging our suitcases up the cobbled streets from hotel to hotel. Upon our return, I reported this to the booking website and left a negative review for the hotel. A customer relations person investigated and contacted the hotel. The hotel told their own incorrect and absurd version claiming that we had confirmed that we were happy with the outcome before we left. How would anyone be happy with such a nightmare holiday? We even sent them video evidence of the leaking ceiling. They are fully aware that we did not get the rooms we paid for and still they have done nothing to rectify the problem. Can you imagine as a mother arriving after a long journey to your hotel, with 4 young children in a foreign country to find that the hotel you paid for months ago has no room for you? Then you get moved from hotel to hotel, put up with smelly, cramped, leaking rooms, almost miss your flight back and somehow Perapolis hotel claim you are happy with the experience. Avoid this hotel.
