The hotel was a decent stop whilenawaiting the new year countdown and as a transit area. It is walking distance to local attractions and the new year countdown parties. Only set back is you need to walk 3 flights up at least. Toilets are clean and the staffs are very helpful. Basic homey feeling.

my WORST TRACELL EXPERIENCE. The DIRTIEST place I've ever been to. The photos are just big lies. Check google reviews. The rooms were all smelling. Very old building and the doors weren't lockable. Men dorm floor actually smelled like piss! For the first 15minutes I just couldn't beleave how dirty the place was. when we told them that the place is NOTHING like the pictures, they said that the photos were taken when yhe place was "young". They also charged us 30euro more just for canceling our stay. With that price we found a much better place in the same neighberhood. Not recommended at all.

I had a reservation there for 2 nights in April this year. I did a booking through hostelworld. Unfortunately the hostel didn't meet my expectation. Pictures on the website shows totally other place than in reality. The hostel is very, very bad. The female dorm was located in the upper floor. It looked like there was living one man who is working in the hostel and he just moved out when I arrived (there were his jackets and clothes). The room was dirty, the roof looked like it's leaking when it's rainy. I'm adding pictures as a prove + print screen of the female dorm on hostelworld's website. I regret I didn't took pictures of bathroom which was just disgusting. I rejected to stay in this room. I required to moved me somewhere, finally I stayed in a one room person which I guess, it also didn't looked like on pictures. Firstly they asked me to pay the difference between a night in the dorm vs private room but later they left it, because of I decided to stay just for a night (even if I had a booking for 2 nights). I fully feel dissapointed about this place! Just a single positive was a guy who worked in the night shift - he was really nice. More dissapointed I feel about hostelworld website where the rating is pretty high for this place!

No heating No internet in the rooms Very very dirty Bad smell everywhere in this hotel Very dark place, even in the morning Unfriendly service and hotel manager These are the photos of my room and the conditions of the shared bathrooms. Levanten Hostel, which is located very close to Taksim Square in Istanbul, is on Pürtelaj Street of Cihangir District... You can walk to Taksim Square in 3 minutes, to Kabataş beach in 3 minutes, or if you want, you can reach Beşiktaş beach and bazaar in 22 minutes by walking... When you enter Levanten Hostel from the door, you can immediately reach it. Inside, there are purple armchairs and armchairs, there is a lobby decorated in a very warm and homely atmosphere, and common areas such as the kitchen, toilets and shower areas are constantly cleaned. Dorm rooms have bunk beds, I would like to take photos from the room with bunk beds and upload them, but since there are people sleeping and I think it would not be nice to share their photos without permission, I have only shared photos from the empty parts for now... the kitchen is clean and hygienic. It is open to use, everyone who stays washes their own dishes and lives together in a communal way, respectful to each other. The rooms are clean, the sheets and pillowcases are not full of holes like in other hostels... The staff is friendly. and helpful people...
