The view from the restaurant is the biggest sales point for this hotel. I stayed here ten years ago and booked it again because I remembered the view. The room looks tasteful but is quite small. The noise from other rooms comes through the walls. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great location, just enough distance from the crowds. Breakfast fare is pretty average, but you hardly notice because of the view.

The location of this hotel is very good, only five minutes walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Grand Mosque , and three minutes walk to Metro station at Sultanahmet, 15 minutes walk to main train station. I stayed in this hotel for three nights. My room is on the first floor with street views. The bathroom isn’t standard, maybe it’s for disable people. The views from roof of hotel are amazing, overlooking the river , Blue Mosque and Hagia. Breakfast is ok, not much fruits.
I wasn’t happy about airport transport. I booked for 10 am taxi one day before, but taxi didn’t show up after 10:10. I have to walk on the street to get one. The old town traffic is very bad. It took about one hour to get to the airport IST for 1000 Turkey ‘s Lira or 30 Euros.
It rated 4 star hotel, but I feel like it’s three star hotel.

● Advantages:
● Excellent location: The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are only a few minutes' walk away, and the T1 rail line is nearby, which is very convenient for tourists who want to explore the historical sites of the old city and go to other places.
● Beautiful scenery: Some rooms have direct views of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. You can enjoy the sunrise and the two mosques bathed in the morning sun in the room. The view of the rooftop restaurant and terrace is even wider, overlooking Marmara, the old city, the Asian area, etc., with beautiful scenery.
● Room facilities: Although the room is not large, it is warm and comfortable, clean and tidy, and has good sound insulation. The facilities in the room are modern and can meet the basic needs of guests.
● Excellent dining: There is a rich choice of breakfast food, including authentic Turkish food and dishes suitable for the tastes of various countries. You can order according to the menu.
● Disadvantages: The room area is relatively small, which may be a bit cramped for guests with a lot of luggage or high space requirements.

Amazing

Located in the old town, only a five-minute walk to the mosque. There are many restaurants around, but the hotel is located on a relatively quiet road with a small garden at the door. Overall, it is much quieter than those hotels facing the road. The room is relatively small. If two people's suitcases are laid flat on the floor, there is basically no aisle, but it is clean and tidy. The breakfast room on the top floor is the highlight, and the scenery from a distance is amazing. Breakfast is also okay, and there is something for Chinese stomachs to eat, but freshly ground coffee is charged separately. The only shortcoming is that the front desk service is not as warm and sincere as other hotels on our trip. The reserved room was no longer available and was not informed when we checked in. We were given a room change after Ctrip complained. But the faults do not hide the advantages, and overall I am quite satisfied.

The location is great, just behind the Blue Mosque. When you go to the restaurant on the 6th floor, you can see the Blue Mosque directly from a straight line of 100 meters, and the Sophia Cathedral diagonally to the left.
In the morning, you can see the sunrise, it's so beautiful.
I have to give his breakfast a thumbs up.
The staff service is very good, very standard service.
The hotel room is not large.
It is less than 100 meters away from T1 and is convenient to take.
I really recommend this hotel. In fact, it’s not far from the Basilica Cistern, Topka Palace, Museum of Civilization, and Egyptian Bazaar.

The DGH is a 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and anther 5 to Hagia Sophia. The views of the old city from the rooftop restaurant are 180* of South Bosporus and old town. It’s the perfect place to walk the old town or catch the tram to see the rest. The staff is polite, cheerful and very helpful. They all speak good English and happy to give directions. The hotel is grand in scale and decor yet unassuming from the outside. The decor is traditional Turkish with lots of detail bright colors and extravagant trim. Our room faced the Blue mosque on a high floor and was roomy enough. The bath is clean modern and lovely fixtures. The restaurant serves up an amazing breakfast buffet with loads of choices of typical Turkish items as well as traditional Western fare. All very good. Our only downside is the decor is a bit worn and in need of a at least a freshen if not a major refurb. It’s clean and attractive. We had a couple of problems that they were quick to fix. We recommend this hotel but don’t expect modern.

Look no further for the best hotel in Istanbul. Price, comfort, safety and wonderful staff. Musa was fantastic answering questions and making arrangements for an early car to the airport. The roof top restaurant is special. I can't imagine a more perfect choice for a hotel in Istanbul

The hotel is located in a very close location to the Blue Mosque which was very handy, it is just tucked away from the main street so the noise is minimal. The rooms were cleaned everyday to a good standard however a bit on the small side. The view from our room and also the restaurant looked onto the blue Mosque and Haga Sofia with the Bosphorus in the back ground, its spectacular during sunset The hotel provided Suhoor as we stayed during the month of Ramadan, it was basic Turkish style food, do not expect a continental style breakfast. They could improve on the cold drinks section, it was very watery. For some reason the water supply went off on the morning of check out, we only had a water bottle to brush our teeth and then leave for the airport, no explanation given. The staff are friendly enough, mainly nodded and waved as we went past, thats ok with me I would stay here again if I was to visit in the future

We stayed here with family over new year was really good I find the breakfast for all plentiful not very good I know turkish people eat food cold but I don’t I like hot food to be that hot My wife and me have stayed here several times but the last stay was organised by Musa thank you very much for the great room I have noticed the reception staff during the day really don’t seem to be interested to the point of being miserable whereas the night receptionist and security guard were fantastic very jolly and helpful We will stay there again next time in Istanbul because it’s the best in Istanbul as we have tried many others

We were in this hotel few years ago but we visited again. It’s so nice and clean. The breakfast was fantastic with a perfect view. It has an airport pick up service and from the hotel also. Everything are around the hotel. Grand Bazaar 7-10 min by walk.

We arrived in Istanbul for the first time. On the recommendation of Mustafa, our driver-guide, we booked a hotel room. The hotel is located right next to the AYASOFYA and the BLUE MOSQUE and from the balcony there is an amazing view of the mosques and the Bosporus. The hotel is a bit outdated, but the service compensates. I would especially like to mention the cleaning lady FRIDA, for availability, helpfulness, desire and especially a captivating smile to our requests. The reception staff, welcoming you as if you were the only guest, will provide information efficiently and clearly. The breakfast is rich, although it can be varied a bit. The rooms are spacious, incredibly clean, the bathroom is spotless. The hotel is located about a minute from the tram station and allows you to reach anywhere quickly and easily. The Grand Bazaar, the Spice Market and the Egyptian Market are within walking distance. Thanks again to Mustafa the driver-guide who recommended us the place and took us to the magical and hidden corners in Istanbul. The ones that the tourists don't get to. Mustafa: +90-5335612788

My wife and stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in the middle of November on the second floor. The location is excellent and the view from the breakfast floor is breathtaking as it overlooks the blue & Sofia mosques and the bhosphorus. There were a number of negatives which include the following: 1) disappointed that we had to pay extra for fresh orange juice at breakfast ( a glass cost 150 TKL/ £4.20 at prevailing exchange rate; 2) the lighting in the room was very dim, with no lights at all in the area next to the wardrobe and safe ( I had to open the bathroom door to allow sufficient light to see the safe combination); 3) the in room tea facilities was very limited with no coffee nor milk, just mint and one other type of tea; 4) very limited English speaking channels available on the TV, ( News and Evangelicals) ; 5) although minor, no tissue box nor a glass in the bathroom. I am not sure if the taxi firm suggested & called by the reception staff to take us back to the airport was the cheapest. It was not metered and they charged us 850 TKL (£24). The taxi to the hotel which was metered cost 670 TKL (£19). In hindsight and given it was not metered, I should have agreed an upfront price or stepped out of the hotel and hailed a metered taxi. Fresh orange juice aside, the breakfast selection was good, varied and the breakfast staff efficient and welcoming. The big plus for the hotel is its location, being around 10-15 minutes walk from the two mosques , Grand & Spice Bazars, Topkapi Palace & Bascilica Cistern. Even better, the Tram stop is no more than a 3 minute walk. There are numerous eating places very close to the hotel.
