Sofia Corner Hotel

Nothing. Frankly I couldn't even call it a hotel. It is in an incredibly unsanitary state. We had booked a triple room with a sea view. Arrived at the hotel around 10 p.m. because we were in transit to Istanbul , the young man at the reception informed us that it was not possible because all the rooms were taken while the old one had confirmed the reservation. He therefore offered us 2 mini rooms in a pitiless state, dirty from floor to ceiling which do not correspond to the photos published on booking. The yellow sheets, the yellow cushions and the stained towels. The walls all crumbled and dust everywhere. No cleaning must have been done for a while. the breakfast is terrible, 2 small tomatoes wandering around on a plate with salad. And the worst scam is that I receive a message from booking which informs me that the hotel informed them that we did not have did not stay with them because I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner. The owners refused to allow us to pay by card and so we paid in cash without an invoice. They therefore wanted to charge us in addition to the cancellation fees of 50€ and cash in double. Frankly I have traveled to several countries, I have never stayed in such a dilapidated place. We slept with our clothes on and covered our pillows with our own things because the bed linen was so dirty. To flee!!!!!!

So first of all I chose this hotel on booking. It had a rating of 9.1 so for us it was a superb hotel. BEWARE OF THE RATING!!!!! I will describe the hotel to you in detail as I would have liked someone to describe it to me. I don't like leaving reviews on establishments but this was essential for me. - no elevator, very narrow staircase - Dilapidated bathroom with mold - When you go up the stairs you rub the walls with the wall plaster on your clothes. - The rooms on the third floor with heating at least for the month of February. - cold bathrooms and worn towels don't make you want to take a shower, so bring your accessories. - the breakfast is mediocre, a plate served in the morning like soldiers, no milk for the children, no orange juice. - hotel not suitable for families with young children. So for information, be wary of the photos and especially the unjustified rating assigned. The friendliness of the staff does not constitute the quality of the establishment. And even that beware We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights We arrived very late at night so we were not able to cancel once with our luggage and the children. The next day we fled the premises and asked the manager to do something he didn't want. This gentleman collected the entire 3 nights and immediately canceled with Booking, noting that he had not received anything from us so as not to pay commissions to Booking. This shows the honesty of this Mr. H…. He had noted that I had not stayed at this hotel so I could not leave reviews. It is for this reason and this is the first time that I have left a review on an establishment. So a piece of advice from friends, be careful and think carefully. Because I would have liked to read this before falling to the ground.

Très bon emplacement dans Istanbul, proche des principales activités à faire et à voir, nous avons pu faire les visites à pieds. Bon accueil. Chambre moyenne, literie très inconfortable (matelas très durs), draps moyennement propres (poils et cheveux). Le sol n’est pas très propre, avec des tapis pas lavés. Salle d’eau toute petite, douche sale avec traces de moisissures au niveau des joints mais aussi du plafond et autour de la petite fenêtre. WC sales. Problème de paiement. Le gérant nous a demandé de payer le séjour, alors que nous pensions avoir déjà payer via la plate-forme de réservation. Dans le doute nous avons payé le séjour à l’hôtel. À notre retour, en vérifiant, nous avions bien payé le séjour lors de la réservation 4 mois avant. Malgré notre demande insistante, la plateforme de réservation a du intervenir pour le remboursement.
