Best Hotels near Hafız Kerim Turkish Delight and sisha shop, Istanbul

Having read bad reviews, I expected the worst, but the hotel surprised me. Yes, it's the city three, but the room was better than the Egyptian Quartet! I had a standard number (take better than it), I asked for a room with a balcony, I was given it, but said that maybe a few days later I would have to change it as it was booked, but so I was all the time in it and lived. A lot of things have been written about cleaning and that it is said not. My number was cleaned every day! Changed towel, brought toilet paper. Staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfasts are, of course, as much to yourself as anywhere, but for me even on ”all included” breakfasts are uniform. A convenient location. Over the day so tired that I slept even on the sounds of prayer from neighboring mosques. What do you want? So in every house. The door opens with a card. There is a heat air conditioner in the room because in Turkish houses outside the summer is cold. Take warm clothes with you. If you go from the hotel down, towards the Marble Sea, there will be a lot of delicious cafes and cheap, unlike those closer to the area. Everything in 5-7 minutes walk. Many shops, but pharmacy is practically not. In fact I was arranged. The room was better than I thought. I won't get to the trick type of hole on the sheet/twitter. The hotel has a cat with cats. It's very nice! I wish I could come to this city again!

It's almost close to everything. Room looks exactly like the pictures. Service very nice. Everything was actually great, except that the room was on the street side and you could hear a bit of traffic noise in the morning, but it wasn't a problem. Everything was good.. It's plenty for people who don't stay in the room all the time..

There are a lot of major sightseeing spots within a 10-minute walk. There is a mart that is open late at night across from the hotel, and there are many good restaurants nearby. Laundry service was inexpensive, hotel hygiene and breakfast was excellent. However, it was a disadvantage that the business was too eager to apply for a tour through the hotel while pretending to be informed about Istanbul.

What I like: Location, room size - quite large for hotel in this area, good beds, hotel amenities (elevator, AC, lobby, coffee/tea) staff attitude (welcoming, honest, polite), and customer service. TV with advanced features like YouTube, etc. Free water/tea/slippers. Excellent bedding and towels - quite high-end. The hotel is freshly renovated - probably less than a year ago What was different. The local building code does not require an exhaust fan in the bathroom. I guess it is not a huge issue, but somewhat different from a typical North American hotel.

I have been here at the hostel for a week. The service is very nice and they help where they can. I had a room change without problems and these are clean and relatively quietly located to a side street. The bakery faces one in the morning with the smell of fresh bread ;) However, no loud supply. Breakfast is nice, marmelade, honey, some vegetables and tea, water or coffee. It is worth mentioning that the staff members clean every day. Only in the bathroom is a hook to hang up and protect his stuff and cultural bags from wet :D

This hotel stay was very good. The breakfast was amazing. Very large spread of food items to choose. Every day they change some items. Everyone enjoys the breakfasts. Families and friends. Staff at breakfast service are excellent. Overall good service. If any issues just call the reception and they will try best to assist. We chose this hotel because is was good prices during the peak july summer month. It also has fitness centre. We also were careful to choose room with shower alone and not bathtub. Also, the hotel was very good on booking.com chat. They answered all my questions on the chat. Perfect location near to taksim and istiklal walking street. Many nearby restaurants and supermarkets open till late night. Not boring area. Booked again for an august stay. Thank you Nippon Team. See you soon.

We really enjoyed our interaction with the respectable receptionist, Eren. His friendly and humorous nature instantly put us at ease. He even kindly offered us tea and allowed us to use the printer for our boarding passes. Such a welcoming attitude truly enhances the overall experience. However, this was our 6th stay at Leyanda Hotel since 2016, and we were disappointed with our experience in 2023. We noticed several areas where the hotel has regressed. First and foremost, the increased pricing didn't align with the value we received. Unfortunately, there were no perks or discounts offered for loyal customers, which was quite disheartening. The behaviour of the other receptionists during our stay was a stark contrast to Eren and our previous visits. They were rude, lacked basic manners, and seemed unwilling to assist with any of our requests. When we requested an extension of our stay at a discounted rate, we were quoted a higher price than what was available on ***********. One of the major letdowns was the breakfast. In previous years, it was a delightful spread with a wide variety of options. However, this time, it was notably limited, with an excessive focus on cheese and salad. While cheese can be enjoyable, we missed the variety of fruits, cakes, and hot items that were once offered. The use of large bowls instead of packaged jams and chocolate spreads made things messy and less appealing. Chipped tea cups were not expected, and the tea itself left much to be desired. It tasted like hot water and was clearly not brewed properly. Even the tea facilities in the room were lacking, with small disposable cups, unlike the proper tea cups found in most boutique hotels. Maintenance issues were prevalent throughout our room. One of the bedside lamps was missing. Additionally, a cupboard handle was also missing and it took a complaint to have one replaced. The bedside table had a broken glass, and a sharp edge posed a safety hazard. Finally, the shower gutter had a drainage problem, which resulted in water pooling during showers. It's our hope that these issues can be addressed to bring Leyanda Hotel back to the high standards we had experienced on our previous visits

Everything was great. Me and my friend stayed for 3 nights, the staff were so helpful specially the reception they helped us a lot . Breakfast was the best part it served at the rooftop with stunning view of the city. Room service was good. Clean and comfortable rooms. Location of the hotel is really good specially if you want to use public transportation and you can walk to lots of attraction like Hagia Sophia,Sultanahmet mosque and... the only thing that can be a little bit annoying is the traffic in area. I will recommend it to you if you want to stay in this region of Istanbul

This was most certainly the worst hotel I've stayed in till date. After reading poor reviews for many Istanbul hotels close to sultanahmet, i saw some good reviews for this and decided to book. On arrival, the front office manager on the reception desk couldn't find our reservations, this took at least 10mins for him to sort, which I wasn't too pleased with, especially as we'd been travelling for around 15hours and had got off an overnight flight with no sleep with my elderly mother with me, that, and he didn't as so much apologise. Oh well, I let it go and we made our way up to the room. The deluxe room I'd booked was *tiny*, there was just enough floor space to open one suitcase, take what you need, close it and put it away to be able to move past it. The bathroom was nice and spacious and clean too. I was about to hop into the shower when I pulled a towel off the rack.....brown poo stains were smeared over it. I was absolutely disgusted. I rang reception (the only number you can ring) and the front office manager said he'll send up housekeeping, yet again, not even a simple 'sorry'. I expressed how disgusted I was, I had only been in the hotel half an hour at this point! Housekeeping arrived shortly and replaced the towels. I had booked breakfast with our stay. The selection of food is very minimal. There were 2 waitresses who spent their time cleaning tables and stocking plates, guests were mainly ignored. Despite having paid for breakfast, you had to buy eggs and fresh juices. the only eggs available in the breakfast buffet were scrambled eggs and the juice was one I saw the waitress reconstituting from a powder and water. I've never stayed in a hotel where I've paid for breakfast and then been told I'd have to pay extra for certain items on the breakfast menu! Daylight robbery! I asked for an iron, which was sent up promptly. I rang down to enquire about the ironing board as there was nowhere to iron. The front office manager said ”Lady, you asked for an iron and you've got one now so what do you want!” I explained that i need a board to iron on, he said he'd see and call me back and angrily put the phone down. I didn't hear back for a few hours and needed clothes to go out in. So i had to use the bed as a make shift ironing board, not to mention the spits of hot water that burnt my hand in the process. Later in the day I rang for something else and also mentioned I didn't hear back about the ironing board- front office manager simply said he's been busy-no apology. He sent housekeeping to the room- a friendly lady who couldn't speak English and yet when i explained to her she understood and promptly brought me one. Be careful when ordering room service - the hotel don't actually make the food....they order takeout! I was told it would come in 20mins, I chased up 30mins later and was told 5mins, and then I chased up again and someone else who picked up laughed and said no it wouldn't be 5mins, it'll be another 20mins.
