It is a nice hotel out in the nature (surrounded by the beauty of the Sierra Nieves) near town Istán. The hotel is reasonable and provides all necessary things for a fine stay in southern Spain. The only that I found disturbing was the fact the in four nights I slept there, in no single day the towels were changed. From a hygienic point of view, it is very important to meet this (basic) standard. I can understand if it happened one day. But all the four days is too much and does not contributes to a fine stay nor experience. Unfortunately, not a good experience.

The location, in the mountains above Marbella is wonderful. When we arrived the public areas looked welcoming and comfortable, however the room was very much 2 star with cheap furniture and a cramoed bathroom with towels that had seen better days. The pool needed a good clean, so we didn't use it. However, we enjoyed an evening on the terrace with drinks before our meal. The meal itself was far better than we expected with some unusual and imaginative dishes, beautifully cooked and presented. So we were looking forward to the breakfast. Sadly it was dismal. A bread roll served with some margarine and a tiny portion each of pate and jam. I asked for, and received some tomato and oil, but clearly that put them out. There were a few drying pieces of watermelon and a tiny piece of sponge cake. And the worst coffee I have ever had in Spain. Such a shame, because it is so easy to create a great breakfast, just with a few tweaks. Maybe a croissant, some jamon, fresh fruit etc. And decent coffee!

Lovely hotel within a short walk of the village centre. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was simple but very tasty. Great views of the lake, and the heated swimming pool was a bonus.

What a great place to unwind. Very relaxing atmosphere. Yes it may not have the luxury of some 5 star hotels but there are some things money cannot buy. All in all a perfect stay for us and the food and service was excellent. We stayed in room 6 which was ground floor and on the end with a great view

Rural hotel located on the outskirts of Istán. It offers wonderful views of the surroundings and is located in the middle of nature where you can disconnect. The breakfast and in general the menu offered by the establishment, little varied. Nice and polite staff.

A hotel with a lot of charm, unbeatable treatment from the staff. Incredible views, super friendly townspeople. Go eat at the Raíces restaurant and have a drink at the Trojan bar and the tasquita. It eats great. We will return without thinking about it, it's amazing!!

If you want to disconnect from the people of the hustle and bustle of the city and be with nature. This is your hotel. My partner and I go often because we disconnect from everything. It is a clean hotel with friendly people, good presence and also has a restaurant with very good food and the price is very good. I recommend it 100%.
