Very nice hotel, in a real castle with a very nice park around it. A recommendation to go there with your loved one(s). Take your time to visit the park too and enjoy the dinner in the restaurant with mostly biological meet and also some bio wines. Friendly people and a romantic room

Just over the Dutch border into Germany, this charming castle is waiting to be found. As you turn onto the drive the castle looms into sight, complete with moat and surrounding park. Inside the walls are hung with old oil paintings. Rooms lookout over the moat. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Good restaurant with panoramic windows onto the water. Food is good and service friendly though could be more attentive. Rooms are well proportioned though a little dated. All in all, very good experience and worth visiting. Extensive grounds and gardens and a golf course next door.

Honestly, expectations were low when we arrived at this hotel. The quirky name (Romantik Parkhotel), and previous experiences at half-faded castle hotels, had us check in with a high degree of skepticism - we only chose the hotel as we on short notice had to rearrange a long-awaited booked stay in the Netherlands due to increased Covid-alerts/restrictions there. How wrong we could be: The Romantik Parkhotel is a jewel! First, the castle is really well kept up. Part of it is a museum, part is hotel, and then there is a great restaurant just on the park waters. Interesting to walk around in the common rooms and take in old world history. Also, the hotel room was comfortable, with a nice garden view. But then tere was the restaurant, that really topped the surpise list: Very high quality, excellent and attentive service, and an impressively deep and broad wine list! We were so happy for this accidental stop-over, and will definitely recommend it as a vantage point for exploring the border areas between Germany and the Netherlands.

Einfaches Hotel in nettem Ambiente, Zimmer in der Qualität einer gehobenen Jugendherberge. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer gebucht. Leider war das Bett recht historisch mit Brettern auch am Fußende, so das ich mit meinen nicht wirklich übergroßen 1,85 niemals einigermaßen bequem dort hätte schlafen können. Die Dane an der Rezeption fragte dann, ob ich nicht mit einem meiner mitreisenden tauschen könnte…. Was für ein irrwitziger Vorschlag. Ich bekam dann nach langer Diskussion ein Doppelzimmer… Der Preis für das Einzelzimmer ist schon beeindruckend… Das Restaurant ist geschmacklich hervorragend. Die Portionen sind ok, angesichts der Preise aber etwas zu klein. Auch das Desert und der Käse zum Abschluss war wirklich gut . Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut und reichlich incl. einer Eiermenü Karte. Als Dauergast in Romantik Hotels incl Romantikkarte fühlt man sich nicht wirklich gewürdigt. .

Wir verbrachten ein schönes Wochenende mit etwa 10 Personen und 3 Generationen im Parkhotel im Rahmen einer Familienfeier. Die historischen Anlagen sind beeindruckend erhalten bzw. geschmackvoll zeitgemäß ergänzt. Der Service war rundum zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Sowohl bei der Planung als auch vor Ort wurden Wünsche unkompliziert umgesetzt. Einerseits ist alles auf einem anspruchsvollem Niveau, andererseits herrscht eine sehr persönliche und familiäre Atmosphäre, sodass wir uns -auch mit kleinen Kindern- sehr wohl und allzeit gut umsorgt gefühlt haben. Das Frühstücksbuffet in den Räumen des angeschlossenen Restaurants „Wasserpavillion“ war großartig. Hier haben wir auch einen sehr schönen und köstlichen Abend verbracht und fühlten uns auch hier sehr persönlich und zur vollsten Zufriedenheit umsorgt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Hotel samt Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Tijdens een doorreis alleen het park bezocht; We zijn fervente bezoekers van botanische parken en musea en ons inziens was de prijs, nl 7 euro pp en daarbij komende parkeerkosten echt te hoog ingezet voor dit bescheiden park zonder verder voorzieningen. Met iets lagere kosten wordt het o i direct juist eerder en beter bezocht...en meer mensen kunnen er dan van genieten.

Das Parkhotel Wasserburg Anholt ist absolut empfehlenswert. Ein tolles Anwesen inmitten eines tollen historischen Parks, der zu einem Spaziergang einlädt. Das Restaurant ist wirklich hervorragend, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen sowie der nachmittägliche Kuchen waren von außerordentlich guter Qualität, dazu eine hervorragende Weinauswahl. Der Service ist extrem professionell und versteht seinen Job, hier freut man sich, Gast zu sein. Das Hotel, sowohl die Zimmer als auch die öffentlichen Räume, sind liebevoll eingerichtet und entsprechen dem Charme der Wasserburg. Selbstverständlich ist alles absolut sauber gepflegt. Insgesamt lässt das Hotel bei keinem unserer Aufenthalte einen Wunsch offen und wir freuen uns auf jeden neuen Besuch!
