I have never been treated so badly by a host in my entire life. After waking us up at 1 am by banging on the door, the host had no issue kicking us out of the room and letting us sleep in our car. We thought the property was dog friendly and being very confused/half asleep at that time of night, we asked the host if she could let us stay just for that one night while we find an alternative solution for the next couple of days. We even offered to pay an extra charge for the dog and to pay for the cleaning/inconvenience but she categorically refused. So there we were at 1am layering up and preparing to spend a cold night in the car. While we were in the car trying to sleep, the host kept looking through her window to check that we didn't sneak back into the room during the night (yes we saw you...). It was a genuine mistake on our part and we honestly thought the room was dog friendly which turned out not to be the case. We didn't mean any harm but the host's attitude toward us was absolutely shocking. The next day the host told us we could stay in the room (thanks, it's not like we paid £400 for it) but she was adamant that the dog had to stay in the car on his own overnight.. it didn't seem at all cruel or unsafe to her... Someone call RSPCA and get this woman blacklisted from pet care! She then admitted she was worried we would leave a bad review - no joke ? Unfortunately for us the island was completely booked up that week end so we had to spend 2 nights in the car before we found an alternative property owned by actual hosts who care about the welfare of their guests (animals included). The owner of moorside clearly does this for the money and didn't not refund us despite the fact that we barely used the room. Aside from that, the room is fine if you forget the carpet in the bathroom (eugh) and the lack of pressure in the shower. Sadly I can't comment on the comfort of the bed... The breakfast is only provided on the first day - as advertised- so it doesn't really make it a bed & breakfast; merely a bed & bre. (For us not even a bed). So if you don't mind giving your money to a heartless person who thinks it's ok to keep animals -and humans- locked up in the car, then you have found the right place.

I booked this for our 2 night stay on Skye after reading reviews and they were not wrong!! We arrived with muddy boots and clothes and were not bothered by me using a face washer to clean them!!! The biscuits and tea was lovely and the breakfast packs to go delicious If we ever visit here I would stay again and to anyone I know recommend they stay with this family while here
