The luxury experience we were looking forward to at Kinloch lodge never materialised. The view and location are superb but thats where it ended. Dinner was the low point of a disappointing overnight stay that cost us over £1100. Kinloch Lodge fell far short of our expectations.

Outstanding, and worth every special penny. We stupidly assumed you could not eat if not a resident - how wrong we were. The most spectacular and delicious lunch. Such a great warm welcome, and all homely and cosy on a March day. Would go back there in an instant, and stay if one could - highly recommend it all round.

Really disappointed. Staff were lovely, but otherwise didn’t like the overpriced rooms - ours had dirty cushion covers. There were static caravans next to the hotel - presumably for the staff. The staff cleaning made us late for our day trip by half an hour as they were cleaning our room and told us we had to wait! - not an issue normally but this was around 9am when we’d gone to breakfast. The food was ok but not great. One day food was terrible and none of my family ate much at all! The paintings are printed copies and the fakeness just reverberated throughout our stay! There were signed letters from Isabella all in different handwriting. Don’t pay attention to the instagrammers making money from their reviews. Skye is lovely. This place not so much!

My son, brother and I had lunch at Kinloch Lodge today. It was an altogether wonderful experience: excellent food, attentive, courteous and friendly service in a beautiful dining room. Nothing was a problem for any of the staff members. To be recommended without any reservations.

Kinloch Lodge (like on previous visits) provided our best dining experience on Skye. Beautiful dining room (if you don't mind a few eerie paintings) and very professional and friendly (but unobtrusive) service. All dishes were excellent (the risotto starter was simply stunning, the monkfish was expertly cooked (we were hesitant as it is so hard to get just right). Not cheap but worth it.

We were disappointed with our stay particularly as my husband had been 7 years ago. As other reviewers have said you have access to lovely drawing rooms in both buildings and the bar is very cosy. The views from the property are spectacular. Lunch when we arrived was delicious. However, our suite in the south lodge was dated and worn. Dinner was very disappointing given the reviews we had read and breakfast was also disappointing. You don't go somewhere like Kinloch Lodge to feel you could have made a better meal yourself. Such a shame - perhaps the normal chef wasn't working over the Easter holidays. We had many lovely meals in our trip around Scotland so there is a lot more competition now for lovely locations with delicious food.

What a magical experience the Kinloch Lodge provides! From the comfort of the rooms to multiple sitting areas warmed by fire to the breathtaking views...a place you just don't want to leave. The staff was so attentive, happy, and willing to share a tale or listen to an adventure. Truly felt part of the "family." We meet folks from all over the world, sharing whisky and stories. Though it was sunny for all of our stay, i felt myself wishing for rain so as to slide into a chair with a good book, a good drink, and a roaring fire. Jordan's food was outstanding and Rachel's attentiveness and sightseeing suggestions are not to be ignored. Our trip to The Storr was a fantastic climb with hard to believe views. Please do yourself a favor and stay at Kinloch Lodge, you will not be disappointed!

Two day escape and we picked the perfect venue, what a setting. Very comfy room. Loved the drawing rooms and the views out. Staff are brilliant, so welcoming, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was sumptuous, every plate presented beautifully. So gooood 😋😋😋 We will be back.
