Lovely room. Nice staff despite the awful accommodation they are provided with. The owner is unpleasant who acts like it's a privilege to pay her to stay there. Her mother was much classier. Food not as good as it used to be. South Skye now very nature depleted. Would not stay again

Another wonderful stay at Kinloch lodge, always a real treat! As soon as you walk beyond its threshold you can feel the love and warmth of the place and you know that you will be incredibly well looked after. Isabella and the team do such a great job so much so that’s it’s very much a case of coming home to your very own Kinloch family, for that it has a very special place in our hearts. Yes the setting is glorious and the light ever shifting so beautifully but the real treat is what happens under their roof. Incredibly spacious rooms with the most wonderful beds, exquisitely decorated and beautifully maintained. Lunch was delicious but dinner blew us away- a heavenly experience of the best from Skye’s larder, truly exquisite. A coorie doon in the bar afterwards chatting to other guests finished the night perfectly. Thank you thank you, see you all soon X Scott & Simon

We just spent four nights at Kinloch Lodge (October 8 - 12, 2025) and honestly, it felt less like a hotel and more like visiting close friends. My husband and I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The hospitality is what really surprised and impressed us. From the minute we arrived, the entire team made us feel instantly at home. A huge thank you to Isabella for her attentive and personalised care; she’s a star. In fact, the whole household and dining staff were incredibly thoughtful. We have travelled a lot, world wide, and Kinloch provided a level of genuine care you rarely find. And the food is world-class. We ate in the restaurant every night and were consistently impressed by the creativity and quality. Danny’s superb sommelier knowledge and pairings were spot-on and the commitment to local, seasonal ingredients truly shines through, right down to the delightful breakfast. We spent a memorable morning foraging with Skye Ghillie Mitchell Partridge. Mitchell was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining, giving us a real, hands-on appreciation for Skye’s natural pantry, finishing with a cook-up out on the salt flat. That was a truly unique experience! Of course, the location is simply breathtaking. The original lodge dates from the 1600’s, is beautifully kept and set against a stunning backdrop, providing the most peaceful, luxurious escape. Waking up to those loch views was the perfect start to every day. If you are traveling to the Isle of Skye and looking for a blend of comfort, top-tier food, and heartfelt hospitality, book Kinloch Lodge. We will return!

When we arrived at Kinloch Lodge for lunch, we were welcomed by Daniel, the hotel manager, who instantly made us feel at home. He made us some delicious drinks to enjoy in the drawing room before lunch, which was such a lovely touch. In the dining room, Daniel helped us choose some amazing wines to go with our food. The rabbit small plate was absolutely outstanding – unlike anything I’ve ever had before – really special! There were also plenty of local fish dishes, all fresh and full of flavour. After lunch, we relaxed with a couple of cocktails in the drawing room and took in the breathtaking views outside. Every time we visit, we feel like part of the family. It’s such a calm, welcoming place – we can’t wait to go back!

This was our first visit back to Kinloch Lodge, since October 2023. We were slightly apprehensive that the excellent stay which we had experienced previously, could not be replicated. We should not have had any such apprehension. The room was beautifully appointed with a breath taking view, along with extremely comfortable beds. The food was quite simply outstanding, with every course almost vying with the last to be even more delicious. A particular highlight was a Wood Pigeon Starter , served with a sauce which had such a wonderful depth of flavour. The Pineapple Parfait was pretty good too! All of the Staff were so welcoming and could not do enough for us. They all succesfully balanced the tricky nature of delivering service, by being professional but at the same time being warm, friendly and attentive. Overall a perfect location to rest, unwind and exceptional food, while being made to feel a little special!

Just a lovely hotel on the Isle of Skye! I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. The staff went out of their way to make every person feel at home and to ensure all needs were met. The rooms were lovely, the food amazing, and the grounds just take your breath away. My only regret is that I did not have more time to just sit in the living room with a pot of tea and a book...or to hike nearer the property. Thank you thank you to our wonderful hosts for making this one of the highlights of our summer trip to Scotland.

Sadly it rained very heavily during our stay at Kinloch Lodge Hotel so we didnt see the grand views that so many reviews mention. The incessant rain not only dampened our spirits, it appeared to affect the morale of hotel staff who were mostly downbeat and unsmiling. The dining experience was disorganised and the biggest let-down of our stay. One of the friendlier waiters told us that the head chef had quit recently and the kitchen brigade were "still finding their feet". Overall, we didnt feel our stay was good value for money and we wouldn't return.

We had read and heard so many good things about Kinloch Lodge and we finally booked to stay and dine on our short tour of Skye. We were absolutely impressed by the hospitality shown by the team at Kinloch! The food and service at the Kinloch restaurant truly lived up to its glowing reputation. We are a family of foodies and all plates were well thought through and delicious, from the lobster to the Mallaig landed monkfish. The raspberry cranachan dessert is a must have! We highly recommend Kinloch lodge on Skye to anyone who loves great food and service in a stunning location!
