McQuoid's Inn and Event Center

My family has been holding our annual three-day family reunion there for over a decade now, and it's been nothing short of incredible every single time. With about 100 of us attending each year, the team at McQuoid's, led by Tim and Cindy, has consistently gone above and beyond to make our event unforgettable. The staff—Les, Julia, Justin, Jake, Gloria, Anthony, Sam, and others whose names escape me right now—are simply outstanding. Their dedication to customer service is unparalleled, and they ensure that everything runs smoothly and professionally, year after year. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd rate McQuoid's a solid 12. Their attention to detail, the beautiful setting on Mille Lacs Lake, and the warmth of their hospitality make it a perfect choice for any occasion. Whether you're planning a big family gathering like ours or just looking for a relaxing getaway, McQuoid's Resort is the place to be.

We've been staying at McQuoids for close to 20 years. Unfortunately, there has been a change in ownership. It is NOT the same! Some rooms are worse than others and the cabins are awful. There was a trail of dirt and urine stains up the hallway, the top of the refrigerator was filthy, the blinds were broken with pieces hanging down like a crack house. There was food and filth in the couch. It smelled like bug spray and there were roach traps on the floor. The windows were smeared with grime and wouldn't open. The door was hanging off the hinges--once you got it pulled shut it had to be sort of kicked open. The microwave didn't work--at all. There weren't supplies--half a toilet paper roll and a few sheets on the paper towel. The girl at the front came and took pictures and talked about possibly moving units at this hour (we got there late in he evening after driving all day) and said she'd get back to us. She did not. We put a blanket over the bed to sleep because we were so grossed out by then. I handed the keys to the same girl in the morning and later found she charged us for the second night anyway--plus some fees that weren't mentioned. The total on the invoice that they send is not what you will be charged. It's hundreds more. The new owner mostly argued with me and said she would only refund the second night because they RENTED IT SOMEONE ELSE!!
