It is a small mom-and-pop shop in a very remote location in the wilderness. There are no commercial facilities around it. It takes a long time to drive out to eat. It is almost an hour's drive from the west gate of Yellowstone Park. It is not recommended.

The property is well maintained and the owner sent clear communications on what to expect but I should have some more research. The property was too far from the main road and it takes about 20 minutes just to get to the main road. The check in process was easy and the property itself is very nice but it’s just too inconvenient for our taste.

The lodge is beautiful and clean, but we were unable to drink the tap water because of contamination and the stove in the kitchen was non-functioning leaving only a hot plate to cook on.

Cabin was beautiful. Hard to find, down unpaved roads, no sign, we thought was someone’s private property. Nice quiet stay though.

The hotel room was cozy and pretty decent as was the building with plenty of shared space to relax after exploring the area. The breakfast options are ok but limited. There’s no TV in the room, and all appliances - kettle, coffee maker, microwave are in the kitchen.
One thing that could be better is that the signage across various rooms was kind of overwhelming & ironically missing the most important sign of all - the one that shows you where to turn off / which building is the Hideaway Lodge.
Currently the sign at the driveway entrance just says “Private” which is not what you’d normally see at a place that has guests on a regular basis.

Very comfortable. Self check in. Not close to restaurants, but relatively close to Yellowstone, if that is your destination. Price is good.
