Keep in mind - you come here for the beach! However, as frequent travelors of the caribbean we were so pleasently surprised with the service - especially want to give a huge shout out to Cirilo in the bar, Eduardo and Luis are amazing bartenders, Nubar and Jose Sierra in the front. anything we ever needed, they were there. The cevicheria and their staff are incredible as well! the servers are awesome. The food was really good. Just got to find qhat you like. I would stay here again 💯

There were no major issues during our stay. Excellent service! Tips: Bring plenty of $1s for tipping. I'd recommend tipping around $1 per drink and $5-$10 per meal, more for above-and-beyond service.) Take care of the staff and they will take care of you. Meals: Know the dress code before you dine. The sushi restaurant at Umami doesn't require reservations and the food was amazing. Ivonne, our server, provided superior service. Also, as a vegetarian, I was happy that most of the menus indicated which items were vegetarian, but it was a little frustrating at the buffets to not know which items had meat. For example, at breakfast, I didn't know that the refried beans were made with lard. (However, when we asked about it, the staff offered to accommodate my dietary restrictions the next time we dined. Unfortunately, it was too late as we were leaving early the next morning.) Drinks: The drinks were excellent, I recommend getting a michelada (beer with lime and clam juice). Pools: There are two pools, a pool with a bar (not a swim-up bar) and another with hot tubs. There were plenty of daily activities at the main pool. Rooms: Our room (standard) was great, two double beds. No issues with cleanliness or maid service. I loved that there was a magnifying mirror for putting on makeup in the bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom was also good for makeup/grooming. There was a hairdryer. Toiletries provided included shampoo, soap, body wash, and lotion. There was an iron and ironing board. The mini-fridge was stocked daily (not by the maids, a different person kept the fridge stocked) with a Sprite, a Coke, 2 large waters, and two beers. (If you need more water, just ask at the front desk.) There's also a coffee pot in the room. All-inclusive: Know ahead of time what's included in the all-inclusive package and/or don't assume; just ask! The all-inclusive does NOT include room service, premium drinks, spa services, certain menu items, or tips. Also, there are some restrictions regarding the Italian restaurant and Umami, but you can eat at Umami without reservations; you only need reservations to sit at the hibachi bar. I made sure to read a lot of reviews for Hotel NYX before this trip; the negative ones seem to be written by disgruntled guests who were rude to the staff or upset about an issue they didn't report during their stay (waiting till they left to complain). Hats off to the guest experience manager who artfully responds to every single review.

Casa de los Suenos is THE place to stay when you would rather feel like an old friend than a guest. From the moment that you book to your arrival on site, they are there every step of the way to help you get to your final destination. And in my case that was destination relaxation. This is probably the most important part of my review, so I'll include it first. As a young-ish solo female traveler, I felt 100% comfortable staying here. There is always someone in the main lobby keeping an eye on things and they lock the main front door from 11:00pm to 7:00am. The staff will call you by your first name from day 1, making you feel seen and acknowledged and most of all, cared for. Thank you to Chris, Roger, and Carlos. As its located in the Southern part of Isla, you'll need to consider transportation options if you really want to explore. They have bikes on site that you can use and if you arrange it ahead of time, they will have a golf cart waiting for you upon arrival that they make sure is always full of gas and just added to your tab at check out. By far the easiest and most reliable way to get a cart on the island. It takes approx 25-30 minutes to drive via golf cart from Case to the North Beach. I also love how they have the partnership with the restaurant below, Kin Ha. Excellent breakfast that comes with your stay. The view is breathtaking and Gil who curated the playlist is a genius with the tunes that play as you dine. There are also pools, a water swing, kayaks etc, and snorkeling right there included. The rooms are spacious, clean, and come with a fridge. My room, the exec king suite was more than I could have hoped for, especially when you consider the sweeping views of the ocean. The pool is divine and cleaned daily. One of my favorite parts, the house pups Marvin and Nina, (and even the cat Maggie) were perhaps my most favorite feature. They are the sweetest and must fun Casa mascots. If you're lucky they will even walk you down to breakfast! One note of improvement, which they are working on, is the company that they contract with for the transfer service. It was a little bit discombobulated on the way there, but everything worked out in the end. Chris personally took down my feedback and shared it with the company so that hopefully things go more smoothly for future guests (note that this is not a reflection of Casa, just a vendor they work with). If your thinking hmmm I usually stay in name brand hotels (trust me, I am a Marriott loyalist to an extreme level), do not do that here on Isla. Stay here. The experience is part of being on the Island. You will love your time on the island that much more if you stay at Casa de los Suenos. It really is a dream.

This resort was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Pop team was fantastic - especially Rey and Danny! There was something for everyone to do which was great. The food was good. The steak house was our favorite. I do wish the ability to get reservations / walk into restaurants was better. Some were better than others. The pool and beach were very well maintained and perfect for all ages

Let me get the bad out of the way which is only that they did not answer the phone. Also the escalator and elevator going up did not work. This was frustrating as I was trying to coordinate transportation to get there and carrying my bags upstairs was exhausting. Now the good which is so much! The place is super clean and very well designed. The whole capsule idea is genius! It feels like I’m going into a bunk on a spaceship. For how small it is there was plenty of room to feel comfortable. There’s a TV a hook, and even a pull out table! The bathrooms and showers were very clean. I love how quiet it was. I had a wild time in Cancun and I wanted this to respite before my flight. It stays 62 degrees which is cold for me but they graciously offer blankets. Breakfast is included. I don’t eat breakfast so they made me a plate to go. I thought that was super nice. I wish there were more of these around the world. Awesome experience!

I was at this hotel 3 years ago for my honeymoon and it had just opened its doors and I returned because I had had a very good experience. First I will say the good thing, the staff goes out of their way to serve you and make you have a good time, the food is very varied and tastes good and the waiters are very diligent. Now the areas of opportunity, it is sad to see how they are letting this hotel decay, the hallways are dirty, they need to be painted, the elevators are moldy and dirty. Dirty, scratched and poorly maintained walls, humidity on the ceilings and black stains. The room had a bad smell of damp and mold, so much so that it gave me asthma. In the pool, water veils or trickles in the adult area do not work. Buy the star service, but IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!! You have to be reminding the waiters and bartenders that you want premium liquor and at the pool, the STAR area is family-friendly, that is, full of children, if you are STAR but want to be in the adult area, the waiters cannot go to the star bars or take food from the STAR area, restaurants, reservations do not exist, since I arrived there was no space in practically any of the restaurants, you have to arrive by parachute and pray that they can serve you. The air conditioning was terrible, in the family lobby the air was not felt and in the Cocina Mexicana restaurant the air was damaged and it was that way for at least 2 days. It is actually unfortunate that you go in with high expectations and encounter so much neglect on the part of the administration or whoever is responsible for keeping this hotel in optimal condition, as it should be, given the name and prestige of Planet Hollywood. Ah! And to top it all off, when I checked out, a GO Pro was left in the room and although we called quickly, it magically disappeared. I'm still waiting for a response to an email that I sent at 11:30 am on July 29. Day of my checkout. In short, there are many other options, which may be more value for your money. The best location on Isla Mujeres. It is also a relatively large hotel on the island. The front desk service is very good. The room has been upgraded. It has a large space and a suite with a front view of the sea. The hotel's exclusive beach is across the road but very close. The texture is fine and white, and the waves are not big. It is very suitable for swimming and the experience is great!

GGuest UserMy experience at Atelier was nothing short of amazing. I visited the resort for my 30th birthday which was also my first solo trip. Every single person I encountered treated me with care and received me with love. I felt so special, literally like a Princess! I would love to come back and visit another time with friends and family. Here are some highlights worth mentioning: - I ate at Alba, Mercado 19, María Dolores, Takeshi, Limon y Sal, Bikini Azul, and La Consentida during my stay and all of them were good! Now for me, some were better than others depending on the type of food you like, but still, every single thing I ate was delicious. No hit or miss, the food was amazing, and at no point did I fall ill from food consumption. - Carmelo was my server at Maria Dolores for my birthday dinner and he and the entire staff treated me like royalty. I was alone at the restaurant for most of my reservation so they were all very attentive to me. The attention to detail in the food and the presentation made this a fine dining experience like no other. Everything was very well thought out and explained beautifully, like a story. Although the food at the restaurant is not included in the price of the resort, it’s very reasonably priced and worth it. - Joshua, Freddy, Adriana, and the pianist at the Azucar Bar & Lounge treated me like family for my entire stay. Every night I would visit them they would be so happy to see me and wanted to celebrate my birthday with me. Joshua is such a talented mixologist, every drink he made was made with love. I attended one of the cocktail classes hosted on Sunday evenings and although I learned some cool drinks, I wish we were able to be more hands-on and actually replicate making the drink instead of just watching him. - On the night of my birthday room service delivered a small plate of cheese and bread along with a champagne bottle, I really enjoyed that surprise! Random things to note that could matter to some people and are worth mentioning: - The walls in the rooms are pretty thin and you can hear everything going on around you, whether in the rooms surrounding yours or outside in the hallway. There’s ambient music playing 24/7 which is nice during the day but I think they should turn it down at night so guests can rest. - The app they suggest using for the resort is a bit glitchy and not fully functional. They encourage you to make dinner reservations using the iPads around the property because you can’t make reservations via the app which I find to be counterintuitive. You’re not able to see the reservations you set up in the app so if you forget what time you booked, you have to find an iPad to double-check. Also, the map of the resort on the app is very hard to use and understand. - I feel like this is a given at any beach resort but if you’re looking to get a cabana by the pool or hut on the beach, I suggest you get there early. On my last day, I went to the beach at 7:30 and already all of the cabanas a

GGuest UserIf you're looking for a place with great service, this is it. Every single staff member was more than courteous. This is the second Excellence resort we visited and although similar every resort has its own experience and shine. Although you may be tempted to check out the steak house or the seafood restaurant for dinner, we highly recommend checking out the AGAVE restaurant. Not only did they highlight traditional local dishes but again the service was great! Our Hostess Alexandra, was friendly, made us feel more than welcome, and gave us some great tips as to what to do at the resort!

LLeungAlexWe spent our honeymoon in TRS hotel with my wife. Check in was very quick and smooth unlike some other reviews i read takes a few hours, maybe it was on a weekday. Francisco at the check in counter was very helpful , he helped us upgraded our room to swim up suit and it was amazing! Sostenes and Cesar assigned as our butler for our stay and they were very helpful as well and always smiling. One thing I’d like to mentioned is that they said they have 25 minutes complementary spa for us for our honeymoon, and the reception told us to meet at the lobby next morning at 8:30am to take us to breakfast and to tour us around the resort. But the next morning we realized we have to attend to the sales center where they wants to sell us some traveling package which we didn’t expect, altho they are all very nice but we spent two hours there listening to them on the first morning of our stay and it was our honeymoon. wish they would let us know earlier then I would rejected, and they said we had to attend in order to claim the complimentary spa which at the beginning they said it’s for our honeymoon. Anyways, For food I highly recommended Gaucho steak house, we tried the bone in steak and they grill them with charcoal and it was very delicious , but the second time we went the steak was over cooked a bit. During our stayed we joined two activities, one is water aerobic and paddling. Both instructor was very fun and especially Dente. He was super friendly and patient! Overall we are satisfied with our stay, and would recommend to our friends.

GGuest UserThis place is in a remote location on the beach which is nice in theory but terribly executed. I would avoid staying here overnight at all costs. They can't decide if they are a beach club or a hotel, but in reality they are neither. The staff needs some proper training in hospitality, especially the girl at the front desk who never smiles and makes you feel like she's doing you a favour. She threw our ID's back at us when we were checking in. I once asked her for some more bottled water for our room and she rolled her eyes and the water didn't even arrive! The rooms are average and the ‘fresh’ towels were full of stains! When we booked, we didn’t mind the remote location and not having any shops/ restaurants around but we realised very quickly that they had serious issues with the kitchen which was located outside of the hotel so the dishes would take 1-2 hours to arrive. The food is extremely overpriced and they give you very small portions so you order more as you have no choice because there is nothing else around! This included half a bagel for breakfast and an omelette with no toast, even though the menu says bread is included. We were even asked to pay more if we wanted a cappuccino for our breakfast. I never stayed anywhere that a cappuccino is considered extra for an included breakfast! The menu they offer is very different to what you can actually order - we wanted burgers but they didn't have these even though they're on the menu. We ordered the same vegetarian pasta dish two nights in a row, on the first night it came with only carrots and on the second night it came with completely different vegetables. The waiters were friendly, especially Ruben and they tried their best but they said rules are the rules and they cannot make changes. I am so surprised to see similar reviews starting from a year ago and yet no improvements by the management. The management team clearly don't care about improving or know how to order supplies for their kitchen. It is nice to stay somewhere remote with a beautiful beach but it was very hard to switch off due to the constant hospitality issues and feelings that the staff are trying to make as much money off you as possible. Management needs a serious wakeup call or else this place won't last much longer.

陈老板888I booked a sea view suite for about $250 a night, and stayed for a week. Because of the US epidemic, there were less than ten guests in the resort, so it was empty, and a restaurant was opened. There is a supermarket in the hotel, open from Monday to Saturday, you can buy some necessities. It is because the hotel’s own restaurant is very poor, so it is necessary to rent a car to go outside the restaurant to buy and eat back to the hotel, the hotel comes with a car rental service, car rental 46 dollars a day insurance. The restaurant outside the hotel is very cheap to eat. Basically, it costs US$100 to buy enough food for 3 days and bring it back to the hotel. Talk about the advantages. Very quiet, sea view suites have everything, microwave, stove, refrigerator, tableware, washing machine, very suitable for family living. The bed is very large and very comfortable, really comfortable! Also, the hotel is very clean. The location of the hotel is not in the 7th district, so the price is very economical.

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our 3 nights stay. The check in process was quick within 5-10 mins and we were given the quiet room type as requested when we booked which is great. Room is big and clean with amazing ocean view and come with your own private balcony and hammock. Shower water pressure and temperature were on point too. We were worried about the Wi-Fi due to the numerous complaints seen online but surprisingly it was great throughout our stay at the highest floor! Fresh drinking water located the lobby with hot drinks making facility and they also provide microwave which is a bonus. Location is very strategic as well, just get off the ferry pier then walk straight up the road and within 2 mins you will find Rocamar. Supermarket (Super Aki) is nearby too, within 1-2 mins walk only. So as the restaurants, laundry services and souvenir shops which were less than 5 mins walk. We would highly recommend this hotel. Con: They can improve on washing the towels, though cleaned but still stained.

GGuest UserAn amazing experience . I was so skeptical from all these reviews but have nothing but great things to say about this place. It is a hostel and for a hostel it’s stunning , the location is great too. We stayed in the “ mini” room and it was great and quiet. The reviews say “ it’s so loud “ but it’s not even and I’m a light sleeper . I think the only way it’s “ so loud “ is if you stay on the teepee on the sand. I wouldn’t book them, they’re more $$, they’re behind the speaker and in sand . But the rooms or dorms are sweet, cleaners come every day, all facilities are great, security is always present and staff are lovely. I’m usually picky so I was so screwed after all these bad reviews but honestly can’t imagine why people are saying anything like that unless they expected a hotel or stayed in the teepee. The grounds are so beautiful and such a good location. ! It’s not a party hostel at all, if anything it’s too chill , there’s 2 nights they do a party but I never seen anything too large. Sleeping was fine with earplugs. Great hostel !

GGuest UserHad an amazing time at this property. My high rating is based on the bang-for-buck + location. We stayed in the Castle Rooms across the street from the main building and while the rooms we more basic than I have ever seen, the price and location made it all worth while. If you are looking for beautiful decor/artwork, fresh flowers, stocked fridge and over the top service then keep looking. If you are looking for a quick getaway directly on a perfect beach that will not break the bank then consider this option. We spent very little time in the unit except for sleep and shower. The room was very clean with daily housekeeping, the AC worked wonderfully and the little fridge was ice cold. The lack of in-room Wifi was new to us but no biggie....we downloaded some movies/series etc. before we got there and also downloaded some more when we were there either by sitting by the pool or at Buho's.....or, at the end of the hallway closest to Buho's....different experience for us but actually nice to be completely unplugged from reality. We have stayed all over the Island except for Centro. Each previous time we kept a golf cart for the entire week so it was nice to save a bit here because we just didn't need it every day....everything was so close to walk to which was a really nice change. Never had an issue with loud music from the Bar etc. as reported by several others. Also never had an issue with service. The front desk staff were on the most part very pleasant and reacted to any issue that we had promptly. I have never been to IM and not experienced some kind of power outage or water issue so this is hard to blame on the property itself. The longest that we were without power was really only a couple of hours and seemed to be all of Centro if not more and the water pressure was very good and hot or cold as you wanted it. The ability to flush toilet paper when on IM is also a common request from every property that we have been to.....small island + tons of tourists = drainage issues. The pool was smallish but clean and we rarely saw more than 3-4 ppl there at a time.....many times empty. We paid approx. $1250 each which included flight from Toronto/Canada and accommodations (tax included). A few years ago I would not have thought that this was a deal but with todays pricing it was as good as it gets....especially considering that we didn't even need to put on shoes to walk to the beach.....50 steps at the most from our doorway. We did a ton of research on this place so there were absolutely no surprises. I love touring the Island so a full-time golf cart is something we always treat ourselves to but there is really no need to have it every day when this close to the action so, this time, we only rented on 3 or 4 of the days. I also tried a scooter this year for the first time.....I was always intimidated and scared to crash but, after a while, I got the hang of it and was very comfortable booting around especially early morni
